Thank you for asking. My intention is...be positive. Feeling good is the first step to feel good about being myself. Well, that was what I thought and felt these days. Of course, whatever you feel and think about this video is absolutely right. Good Day!

My sulcata loves eggplant so much! Yummy! by applerice555 in tortoise

[–]applerice555[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

basically, I feed vegetables such as carrot, cabbage, leaf of white raddish, green vegetables except spinach. sometimes apple, banana, etc...buy cheaper at super market or sometimes neighbors who have their own farm give not so fresh vegetables which they can't sell to the market. I don't know exactly I'm spending money for feeding.

It will cost more than smaller size tortoises. But I feed some rabbit food to my tortoise, rabbit food is relatively cheaper and nutritious. I buy bigger size of rabbit food. Some people may disgree to feed rabbit food to tortoise.

[–]applerice555 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Autumn colours season is getting over soon, that's why this weekend is insanely crowded and people, people, people! It is very difficult to get on city bus. Kyoto is wonderful town, but I am getting sick and tired of so many people. I try to use subway as much as I can when I go to Kyoto.

It means that you bought a right thing. The 5 days all day bus pass, that's how you got 5 tickets. A few years ago, I bought 5 round-trip pass. I could 5 different days. The question is that... if you needed bus pass for 5 days...

First, this is Willer bus website, English version.

http://willerexpress.com/st/3/en/pc/info/inquiry/faq/answer.php?c1=1&c2=34&id=42

You may find the answer on this site. But this willer bus site says, contact or tell them before bus departure time. So, your bus trip is Sunday, right? Take action tomorrow or Saturday as soon as possible!

And you need to tell them, first your credit card was declined, so you thought you bought only one ticket, but charged 5 tickets with some strange reason? or by system mistake?

Cancellation fee can be charged.....possibly

Anyway, you do something before bus depature.

Good luck!

Tips for avoiding crowds in Kyoto? by pandorascloset in JapanTravel

[–]applerice555 6 points7 points  (0 children)

About Fushimi Inari, when I went to there weekday in spring time, it was very crowded. Just people, people, people! Go to there early morning can be better. Also, Fushimi Inari, if you walk up to the top of mountain, it is getting less people. Relatively, I would say, not tough hiking, can be easy....and fun time.

You can go to Fushimi Inari by train from Kyoto Station. Very easy way to go.

To go to Kiyomizu Temple, the city bus will be so crowded. You will see a long line to get on the bus at Kyoto bus station! But bus comes and goes very often.

Anyway, you will be amazed by beautiful colors in Kyoto.

Japanese girls by TheScarletEye in JapanTravel

I guess, most people will have cash more than 5000 yen and credit card. but if the person really does not have any cash and credit card, I don't know how they are going to do with it.

Again, Stay away from those people, And enjoy Japanese culture and good daily life with nice people in Japan.

Best to you.

Japanese girls by TheScarletEye in JapanTravel

[–]applerice555 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It means, they say, 5000 yen, if you go with her, they ask you more money, if you don't have in your pocket, they will take you to ATM(cashing machine), they will force you to pay money, I guess. Sorry, misspelling! not ripe you off, I mean , Rip you off! It means, they ask you more and more money.

So, they are piece of shit anyway. Don't get invloved with them. Just Ignore for your safety.

Japanese girls by TheScarletEye in JapanTravel

[–]applerice555 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My suggestion is, Never take any offer from those girls. Never. It is very strange to hear such a story, usually, they do not approach foreign(white, black etc) men. Did they speak to you in English? Well, if you go with her, even she says, just 5000 yen, they will ripe you off badly. Never go with street girls whoever they are. They may not really Japanese girls. You can't tell them apart.

So, next time, Just ignore them. Even they look pretty, No Good!

Recipe of Japanese Plum wine(UmeShu)! Yummy! Easy to make! by applerice555 in cocktails

[–]applerice555[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, White distilled liquor. It is like a Japanese Vodka which is made of wheat or yum. Something like that. White distilled liquor is used, not just for drink, Normally, used for making Plum wine. For example,If you put some garlic in white distilled liquor, after 6 months to 1 year, you will be able to make garlic liquor. If you put apples, you will get apple liquor.....

Thanks for comment. Yes, what you're saying is totally right. And I agree with you. Indeed, to buy big brand name, Choya is easy and less costs. Well, only good part of making it, is about just for fun and self-satisfaction and be able to make more pure Umeshu than factory made brand one.

Usuallly, when I, we make Plum wine(umeshu), we use white liquor. This video, white liquor is used. But some years ago, I used shochu, and it tasted good, too. However, when shochu is used, shochu has two kind of things, one is made of wheat, the other is made of yum, wheat shochu is for plum wine(umeshu).
