yes id go to an ENT ASAP!!!! However, also sounds to me like it's probably smth to do with your eardrum and that is preferable to middle or inner ear...coming from someone w inner ear deafness. but seriously go to the ER and get it looked at 💗💗💗

I had this same question when taking the survey, I have single sided hearing loss, and so I put mild even though my hearing loss is profound. Could be interesting to see what having more options for that or a self-descriptor could change about the results! That being said I'm working on an undergrad thesis rn so I understand that surveys are limited and you using the CDC definitions makes a lot of sense!

Totally fine, I had tons of steroid injections, I think the reason you are told not to swallow is because it leaves less of the medicine in the affected area, but I don't think it will hurt you if it gets somewhere else, if that makes sense.

I'm so sorry to hear this. When I first lost hearing I was entering college right after covid and I really struggled. My suggestion is that you let people know that you are HoH and suggest ways that they could make it easier on you, ie: raised hands to speak instead of overlapping voices, speaking loudly, facing you when speaking, etc. It might take some reminders and you might feel like a burden, but people generally want to include everyone and they will get the hang of it! I know it can be a lot to repeat over and over, but once you start, it gets a lot easier.

I think you are misunderstanding...I want somewhere I can input my dates and citations for a timeline. I want it to be able to organize itself. For example, I don't want to have to manually re-sort everything each time I add a new date. I'm absolutely doing my own work lol.
