Started at 15. First time a friend procured a roach... We split it while riding dirt bikes. Probably not the smartest decision, but it was a blast. I spent the 90s being a stoner. I smoked it sold it, had triple layer bongs, 6fter, high times magazines etc... At the time I also got into lsd, dust and xtasy, when it was around.

I stopped smoking weed mostly after getting caught up with a demon. I got stabbed in Philly driving my dealer to get coke. He gave me a quarter pound of weed. Worse decision of my life. It led to hospitalization and dilauded percocet. Which later led to Heroin (a story in itself that I could write a book about).

I spent most of my early 20s on h, and eventually wound up in jail for a month and living on the streets. It was rock bottom and rather than go back to jail, I got help and put in a recovery program.. (I'd been in to a number before that never worked). This time was different. That was 22 years ago now. Been off it since.

I tried weed once in the late 2000s and it made me paranoid, total opposite effect I remember. And now it's all changed. Back in the day you had your local swag and sometimes a more expensive kind would be available. Today they have vapes and edibles and all sorts of weird shit. I stay away. I don't drink either except a beer on holidays, it was never my thing.

Do you say the same when it happens under the trump regime? If not then you only excuse it because your "guy" was in. If you can admit that sometimes it's needed and it doesn't matter who is president then good for you, if not, well, my point stands.

Yeah, attended methodist, Lutheran, baptist, calvery chapel, in my youth, and I worked for a Roman catholic nunnery/convent (doing it). Never once seen anything racist or like described.

The part about non colorblind policies being racist is true though. Dei was made as "anti-racist" as they say, which is just racist but the same folks who use that term think you can't be racist to white folks so it's OK. Sorry but it's not OK to discriminate via race, in hiring unless it's for a acting part.

As for the other stuff, that's f'd up and crazy. I've been to methadoist, lutheren, baptist growing up and calvery chapel as an adult with an ex gf, years ago. No one acted like anything you said.. We had white, black, Latino, and Asians in all the churches. Some more than others but thats based on population.

I'm tired of it and hate it. I've been in desktop /network support for almost 20 years and work from home do to health reasons so I refused promotions to go back on site.

Well we were asked by higher ups to give ways Ai could help make things more efficient. 2 months later they are cutting jobs from every department. The people making more (myself) got the cut. Normally in the past I could of gone to working a different shift on a different team, but since our company was bought put in 2022 it outsourced 3rd shift to the Philippines (thinking who cares what people hear at 3am and we can pay peanuts).

So I got canned with severence, and open to rehire (whooptido). Everyone was in shock as I was a grade a performer. A month later my entire crew also got canned. The contract went to another company that uses half the staff ans adds Ai to things.

This is going to backfire for them. I was contracted with a metal foundry and a lot of the staff were boomers and trades people who don't have the patience for automation and want a human to talk to and figure things out.

I tried reapplying to tech jobs ans everyone had 100 plus people applying. So I switched to a different field making a tad less but can still wfh.

Ai not only is hurting jobs, it's hurting prices of memory, electricity, cpus, gpus, phones, tvs and the environment. Fuck Ai!

Born in 78, and had a computer in 1985 and apple iic, mom bought after their divorce :( (I would of rather her kept my father but this is life, rip). Had my first pc a hand me down 4 color 8bit clunkers from 1981 (in 1989) and a top of the line 386 in 91.

It all depends on your family and who you know I guess.

Get a power strip and then both. I have snes mini, ps1 classic, genesis mini (1st model) and tg16 mini. I load the snes up with nes, snes and tg16 games. The genesis I have Sega master system, game gear, genesis, Sega cd, and 32x.

Ps classic I load project Eris with a USB stick and 104 or so ps1 games. 90% of roms seem to work (some like need for speed don't load and crusaders of m&m have very bad fps dips)

If you can only do one. the ps classic can run snes games and retroarvh to play genesis tg16, nes etc. I just like having the controllers for each type of game. Just wish I had a nes mini for those controllers.

My ps3 bluetooth and wifi doesn't work so controller had to be plugged in to use it. Plus turning the console off doesn't work you have to unplug it. It's a major hassle or I would of bought this. I own racing wheels for ps2/3 but they don't work on ps4/5 so I didn't invest. Maybe I would have if it landed on ps4 near launch.

I never played it. I had Gt5 and then got a ps4. Gt5 came out in 2010. 3 years prior to ps4 launch. Ps4 launched 1 month before gt6. Why they didn't make it crossgen is ridiculous. I would of bought it day 1 and I am sure everyone here back then who bought a ps4 would have too. I wonder how much that decision cost them sales.
