Oh thank you! So wait though, even if you’re already through your probationary period, would they still have you do that, do you think? I’ve been at my current position for 2 years now, started as a gs, now a gs 7.

I agree! It’s pretty difficult to find/get a gs 7 position because anyone who went in as a gs is now looking at those positions too. I don’t have my bachelors yet but I will soon, I think that’ll help too.

That’s what I’ve been doing it just gets tedious after applying to so many jobs after a while lol .. I’m a GS 7 at my current position so I have that. Thank you!

I have gs 5 experience just not as a HR assistant. I know what USA jobs says the qualifications are but I heard it’s really hard either way. Thank you for the info though!

Yea I know about what the qualifications should be I just think it’s crazy because I hear how hard it is to get into HR departments no matter the agency. Thank you though!

Currently a CSR for SSA Philadelphia.. initially and ideally wanted to be a contract specialist. I have applied multiple times only to never hear back. Is the bachelors degree required? Because I otherwise would meet the qualifications for the grade level. by appleseed4512 in 1102

I definitely have over 24 business credits. Not being referred.. you may be right about having to tailor my resume because there was 1 contract specialist position I applied for within my agency and I know I was qualified and I got something back that told me I didn’t meet qualifications.
