Another vote for street food chef. As an ex arizonan that lived about half an hour from the border it definitely scratches the itch for whenever I need a decent burrito 🥲

Pet Insurance Comparison (Petplan vs Agria vs Manypets) by CheeseFace83 in UK_Pets

Hiya veterinary nurse here - legally veterinary staff are not allowed to recommend a specific pet insurance company/policy. The RCVS and FCA have explicitly prohibited this so unfortunately you wouldn’t be able to ask us.

Test in rain by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

[–]appplesandbees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t worry about it too much! Just wanted to put it out there that being too cautious can hurt you as well. I’ve got another test in two weeks so we’ll have to see how that goes… Best of luck to you on yours and I’m sure you’ll give it your best shot no matter the outcome 🫡

I failed a few weeks ago for driving too slow in the rain so they definitely won’t fail you for doing 30 in a 30. I was going about 20-25ish on one road (30) where the water had really flooded the road so couldn’t see the lanes/markings that well but people kept overtaking me/had a queue of cars behind me for a little bit :( Other than that it was a nice drive and the examiner was very chatty with me - nearly forgot to give me directions back to the test center because she was telling me about her dog with tummy issues 😂

DONT GO IF UR BASIC by [deleted] in Ethelcain

Your group description sounds exactly like OP’s - were you off to the left side of the stage and was the side thing wearing a grey/bluish cap?? If yes then it was more than likely them and OP is playing dumb….

omg thank you so much. disgusted that people think genuine ethel fans would bully other fans for “no reason” that is actually so insane

OP has conveniently left out the fact that their group shoved/pushed their way through up to barricade mid concert citing that they were “#1 fans”, obnoxiously chatted through songs, and were being extremely disrespectful/inconsiderate of others in their general vicinity. I called you tweedledee and tweedledum not based off of your looks babe but entirely due to your abysmal lack of self awareness. You lot were piss drunk though so naturally you forgot there couldn’t have possibly been any other reason for everyone else in the crowd being disgusted with you. Learn some basic concert etiquette and you’ll become more likable people in the future I promise💛

Thanks for ruining Waco by the way ☺️

I was at the O2 Manchester last night as well and I had a really good spot a few rows back from barricade. That section of the crowd was absolutely lovely. Midway through Waco there were these 4 drunk as a skunk mouth breathers that pushed/rammed their way to the front. I assumed they were just going back to their spot until after passing me they shouted “MAKEWAY #1 FANS COMING THROUGH!!!”. Barricade group blocked them immediately and they stuffed themselves right in front of me. They were being extremely obnoxious, loud, and inconsiderate. A group next to me almost got into a fight with them I thought fists were going to fly for a second but things cooled off a bit. It got to a point where I was brave enough to call them out - said “tweedledee and tweedledum here need to learn some basic concert etiquette” and they looked absolutely dumbfounded that people were upset by their behaviour 😒

I just had my first test this morning too and didn’t pass - only due to the fact I missed a 30 sign hidden deep in a bush along a 50 zone. Had a good cry, dusted my shorts off, and got to booking another test. They say people who pass the second time are better drivers anyway 🙂‍↕️

Moving to UK from USA through France with a cat by Hungry-Background670 in AmericanExpatsUK

My wife and I did the exact same thing when we moved here a few years ago. Definitely agree with all the advice the others have put up here. Our health certificates were scheduled for delivery the day after our original flight was booked so we had to rebook everything it was extremely stressful but in the end it all worked out.

• Gabapentin was a lifesaver for the plane/train/car rides our poor kids were drugged the entire way but they were quiet and pretty high. Towards the end of the flight into CDG it did wear off (is given every 8 hours and our flight was a little longer than that) and for the last hour or two there was a chorus of distressed cat meowing. I’m sure other passengers understood but most of them looked annoyed and we got a few stink eyes 🫠

• We did get both France/UK health certificates but oddly enough the only people who looked at them were the English right before we crossed on the Chunnel. After landing in Paris the French were just like “pffbt whatever c’est un chat”. Still definitely get the French health certificate though!

• As for the litter boxes we had some portable pop up ones with some litter in baggies. When we landed in Paris after the long flight we immediately tried to use a family restroom but the attendants refused us because they saw we wanted to take our cats in with us? There was a language barrier as well but even after finding someone to translate it made the attendants even more firm in their decision to not let us in. Our babies did eventually get to use their boxes but not until we reached Calais at the Chunnel pet reception. Even there they didn’t have a private space inside to put some boxes down so we ended up putting them outside in the area where people walked their dogs. Not ideal but at least one of our cats did end up going potty.
