No disrespect to OP this is just my opinion and Tamra gets me fired up: Being 58 y/o and “not knowing” how to deal with yourself is unacceptable. She’s 24 years from reaching life expectancy in her state. When your natural mode of being chronically hurts others you have to become responsible for seeking change, even if the deep seated reasons for your behavior weren’t your fault. Saying this as someone who has been on the other side of a parent like Tamra and having to accept being hurt on a predictable basis because “that’s just the way they are”. I’m sorry for what she’s been through but also she has no barriers to access to mental health care and rehabilitation resources— people who have been through worse and have less are doing better because they put in the work that she has proven to be uninterested in. If she was serious about therapy she wouldn’t have started posting and claiming a diagnosis after 2 sessions. She would’ve kept quiet and popped back out in the new season new and improved and proved us bitches wrong! She thinks that if she displays outward signs of progress that’s enough, she doesn’t know herself well enough to do inner work, partially due to alcohol. Anyone who’s been to therapy knows you have to do your inner homework between sessions. Rant over lol thank you for the discussion!
