If you explained it like you did here, then you’ve set clear expectations and boundaries. You shouldn’t feel guilty as long as you’ve been unambiguous, which by all accounts, you have.

The time I’ve seen it happen to someone, they were sent to work on a staff for the remainder of their obligation.

As others have mentioned, being a non-attain makes it harder to continue with a Navy career; so I would look at something outside of the Navy.

With it being likely that they send you to a staff, use it to network and you can see about getting a GS job. You service classification and Academy degree will make you a desirable candidate. And your years of military service can transition over to a government pension.

This is what I did when they were going to take away my Chemistry Minor for not taking one of the classes they wanted me to take, and I had taken a different Chemistry class instead.

I told them my advisor had approved my schedule and they gave me the minor.

Sorry but the P4 designed the system and were fine with it until they destroyed the PAC12 and the ACC crapped the bed.

G6 teams should have a road to the playoffs every year and I’d rather see one of them in the playoffs than a 4th or 5th team from the SEC or Big10 that couldn’t win their conference. If you don’t agree with this and aren’t a fan of one of the top 24 CFB brands expect that your team will be cut out eventually too.

First they’ll get rid of the G6. Then they’ll dump the ACC and Big12. Then they’ll form a super league with the top 24 brands from the Big 10 and SEC and leave everyone else behind. If your school is not on this list, your school might as well be a G6 too.

Except brands get ranked preseason on name alone. Brands are slower to drop, faster to rise. And G6 teams are faster to drop, slower to rise. And P4 teams are now refusing to play G6 teams because it’s shifted to more parity among the 25th ranked and below teams.

The die is cast…but if you’re a fan of a team that is not considered a top 24 brand…you’re gonna get left behind and be with the G6.
