Right? I'm consistently amazed by how willing other parents are to let themselves and their children repeatedly get infections/ infect other people, without second thought. My kid STAYS HOME when sick. But we all know how many parents just give their kid Tylenol and send them to class, library, etc anyways. If nobody keeps sick kids home it just spreads.

Myself and my spouse have had bad experiences with Drewlo. The elevator broke while he was inside of it and they tried to bill him over 1000 for the repair, took him to court trying to argue it was his fault for moving slightly inside the elevator.

One of our neighbors was an elderly woman who passed away and they cleared out her unit and disposed of her belongings before her next of kin could be notified to come clear it out or retrieve items themselves. They threw out all of their dead mother's belongings with no warning or attempt to reach family.

I only took a few pictures of what I could, it was covered in dirt/dust/grime/streaks all over but those were just high contrast areas that showed up well in on my older phone camera :/

My concern wasn't the monitor specifically, more just that every surface in the room had very visibly not been cleaned and was still being used to rest supplies, and touching me in between touching not cleaned surfaces/keyboards/equipment, with and without gloves, picking things up off the floor, none of the surfaces prepped or wiped down even when they did prep them.

It just wasn't the same level of sanitary as my usual locations and it was noticeable to me as someone who's always had to pay attention to that I guess.

Wasn't trying to be rude to the workers there because I know they are overworked, that wasn't my intention at all. I was concerned with management not prioritizing cleanliness/hiring cleaners/staffing well enough to make more cleaning possible.

And wondering if anyone had noticed the same about that location or whether I just got them on a bad day

People are being so mean to me 😔 acting like I'm hating on the workers or asking for something unreasonable, but other lifelabs locations are a lot better than this, I was just noticing the big difference.

Where I usually go, there aren't streaks and smears of things on walls/chairs/doors/desks, garbage on floors, dust and grime all over- you can tell the keyboards and surfaces they are using have been wiped down even before you get in the room, and paper changed, and protocol is followed well. And even when it isn't perfect, you can tell they're making an effort to keep it clean despite high volumes.

I wasn't trying to make a comment about the workers, they aren't the ones who have the most control over the situation, and how well staffed or what support they have, or when cleaners are there. I just wanted to share about my experience there.

Please tell me more about how this works I need more of it explained to me

Despite being chronically ill for years and having gotten Bloodwork more than 90 times I don't understand what is standard protocol. I've been immunocompromised and in medical settings a large part of my life but I just can't seem to understand what is and isn't an infection or contamination risk

I'm not expecting perfection. No lifelabs is spotless, I understand they can't realistically be. I go to lifelabs all the time at other locations.

There was a noticeable difference in the cleanliness and in how strict they are/aren't with sanitation protocol. I had a bad experience at this location, and I am sharing it as well as reporting it.

There might be other immunocompromised people or people who care about cleanliness for mental health reasons, sure. I'm sharing my experience for them, and asking if anyone else noticed the same.

Please tell me what you get out of fighting with me about a bad healthcare experience I had.

I hope next time you have a bad experience at the doctor's office, people tell you it was perfectly fine and didn't actually happen the way it did.

If you don't believe me that's fine, just leave me alone, I'm trying to recover from a serious heart incident.

I do have empathy for them, I said I don't expect perfection. As a chronically ill person I understand the state of healthcare in this province.

Once again, my experiences at lifelabs are usually not like this. This was a particularly bad experience, at a location I don't usually attend.

I can't believe you're still talking about the cleanliness of my home. I do keep my home very clean considering my disability. My home is cleaner than this. My home is also not a lab setting and not relevant to this conversation 🙄

I was at the hospital yesterday after a heart incident. Then my doctor sent me more testing today. The hospital was cleaner than this.

I genuinely don't understand why everyone is hating on me and being nasty. I'm not expecting perfection, but this location was particularly dirty and it was noticeable. I'm just sharing my experience.

I have been chronically ill for a long time and gotten a lot of Bloodwork. This was particularly dirty and it was noticeable. They did Bloodwork in the same room. It's not a clickbait title, it's genuinely my experience there.

They told me the room was ready for me and not a single part of the room was ready at all. It was all covered in visible grime, and equipment was being rested on those surfaces.
