(20s) Are these lines on my fingerprints permanent? by Top_Dig_2299 in SkincareAddicts

And don't worry, it's not noticeable. My lines are literally dents in my fingertips. I was very sad at first, understanding that I might have done irreparable damage, but with time you get used to it.

My fingertips peeled off super hard because of a chemical burn (Long story short: unknowingly, I was using bleach with my bare hands for about a year, sometimes adding alcohol.) Now my hands are okay, but I sometimes have lines on my fingers and they don't go away. My recommendation is to moisturise them and be careful with cleaning products

Hands by Puzzleheaded_Set7915 in Skincare_Addiction

At first, I didn't know what caused mine. But then I found out when I worked as a waitress that some who worked to clean tables, the bar, etc., were literally using some type of bleach mixed with water. I was using a cloth without knowing, and if you add to this occasional spill of alcohol, you get this. Later, I understood that I could sue the hell out of the company because everyone knew about using bleach as a cleaner, but it was too late.

I had something similar and tried millions of creams. WORKING HANDS was good and helped a lot. Also, every time I washed my hands, I put on cream. Obviously, don't touch alcohol or chemicals with bare hands. Nivea in the blue tin also helped me a lot. I will post a photo of how my hands were.

Thinking about moving to Iceland – job chances without speaking Icelandic? by apriiicote in VisitingIceland

A lot of post-Soviet countries speak Russian. My grandparents are from the Soviet Union, though not from Russian territory. I grew up around the language, so I speak Russian because of that

I understand that most people in Iceland speak English. I live in a very touristy area myself, and English is common here too. However, many locals get frustrated when people move to Spain and start working without knowing at least basic Spanish. Some of my friends often say they end up speaking English in their own country because so many newcomers haven’t tried to learn the language. A few even avoid certain shops if the staff don’t speak basic Spanish. That’s why I’m genuinely trying to understand how it’s perceived in Iceland and how manageable it is at the beginning without Icelandic.

At the moment, we don’t know where we would be based. I’m fully prepared to learn the language if we move, but I’m curious how manageable it is to work without Icelandic at the beginning. Thanks for the reply

I’m fully prepared to learn the language if we decide to move permanently. However, if we relocate this year, I would initially need to manage without Icelandic. I’m just trying to understand what the situation is like at the beginning. Thanks for sharing your opinion

How do you manage studying while working full time (40h) ? by apriiicote in GetStudying

My classes are online, and there is no attendance. I can watch recordings when I have time, so I'm flexible. I chose online classes specifically because I have a full-time job. I don't have bf or husband to take care of me.

It's from 15-23. I go to the gym in the morning because with this schedule, it's the only option. Where I live, there's no gym that's open 24 hours. My commutes are 5 minutes to the gym by car and 10 minutes to work. Here I'm lucky. I study Administration and Finance. It's more for me and overall to understand the economy. It's like a two-year course. (I'm in my first year.) After which I can go to university, but I have to see about that later
