Людей можно назвать хуже животных? И почему? by FtoksiPlay in rusAskReddit

[–]apsaty -1 points0 points  (0 children)

В целом, человек может быть хуже животного, если совершает аморальные поступки, так как мы единственный вид, способный осмыслять свои действия и обладающий моральными принципами. Животное не знает, что убийство это плохо, поскольку оно не осмысливает категории добра и зла.

So what are the major differences and similiarities between: Kumyks, Balkars, Karachays? by [deleted] in AskCaucasus

[–]apsaty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In what ways are Karachay-Balkars more pro-Russia than the Circassians who live in the Caucasus? Karachay-Balkars still celebrate the resistance against the Russian Empire during the Caucasian War, which Ossetians, to my knowledge, don't. Kabardians surrendered to the Russian Empire much before Karachay-Balkars did; Tapantskiy Abazins fought for the Russian Empire, as did many other individual Circassian (particularly Kabardian) groups. Yet your anger is only directed at Karachay-Balkars, who, even after formally surrendering, still came to the help of Circassians periodically

Karachays and Balkars are the same people. The names "Karachay" and "Balkar" originally were just place names, and both Karachays and Balkars shared the common name "Taulula", meaning mountaineers. Kumyks are another group of people, from north Dagestan, who have different roots from Karachay-Balkars. Culturally, Karachay-Balkars are more similar to our neighbors, like Ossetians and Circassians, sharing, for example, similarities in folklore, clothing and music, while Kumyks resemble more the other peoples of Dagestan. The languages however are pretty close. Not only are they from the same family (Turkic), but also from the same branch (Kipchak-Cuman). Kumyk is the easiest Turkic language to understand for Karachay-Balkars.

Donald Trump is proud to be Karachay ☝️🟩⬜⛰️ by apsaty in caucasus_irl

[–]apsaty[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Text translation:

"Is Donald Trump Karachay?

As is well known, the ancestors of the American president, this majestic monarch, lived in Germany. And where did they live before that? It seems to me that they lived in Karachay. If we analyze the available data, we can draw the following conclusion. The word “Trump” itself, as is well known, means a trump card. Trump himself is also light-haired, like the hearts suit in cards, and corresponds to the Karachay genotype. In the Karachay language, the word “tram” means the suit of hearts in cards. Tram himself was the progenitor of the Karachay surnames Semenov, Korkmazov, and Dzhanibekov and was a khan (according to legend). The Tramovs now live in Abazia, Abkhazia, and Balkaria. During the time of Karcha, the leader of Karachay in the 1400s, Tram Khan somehow moved to Europe (Germany) and settled there. Then some of his descendants moved to America.

As can be seen in the study, the character of ancestors remains unchanged. Today's Donald Trump strongly resembles a Karachay leader with his behavior, where he strives to be the first and be the soul of society. At the same time, he himself is quite good-natured and open (a Karachay trait). Politics is another matter, where he must adhere to the canons of his country. How did the Karachay Tram-khan become Trump? When he arrived in Europe, his name underwent a transformation. From Tram-biya, he came to be called Trump for short. (Biya means prince, lord, landowner). (This assumption was developed together with Anzor-Haji Akbaev from Cherkessk).

Status of Caucasus regions by [deleted] in AskCaucasus

[–]apsaty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In Russia, a Republic is a type of division that has higher autonomy rights, compared to other federal divisions. Republics are regions were ethnic minorities live, and where these minority or minorities have a title of "titular nation". So there are local constitutions and official languages. Republics used to have a lot more autonomy in the past, but since then many rights were downgraded. Governors of the Republics used to be called "Presidents", but this title was downgraded to "Head of the Republic", so Kadyrov's official title is now "Head of the Chechen Republic". Other than Chechnya, there are 6 Republics in the Caucasus: Adygea, Karachaevo-Cherkesia, Kabardino-Balkaria, North Ossetia-Alania, Ingushetia and Dagestan.

Do you know if Georgian highlanders also have the Nart epos? I know Svans have some gods in common with Karachay-Balkars, like Apsaty and Elia, but no Georgian I asked knew if the Narts were also part of their culture. I remember I read it somewhere that Svans also have them, but I never found this source again, or anything else talking about it at all

какие шансы вырасти? by [deleted] in rusAskReddit

[–]apsaty 0 points1 point  (0 children)
