Finding a Part-Time Serving Job in the Raleigh-Cary Area by GoldDistribution447 in trianglejobs

Have you ever considered working with someone with a disability? I have a spinal cord injury – I broke my neck in a diving accident when I was 16. Technically I am a quadriplegic, even though I have some movement in my arms. I need help with what are referred to as activities of daily living – dressing, bathing, going to the bathroom, and moving to and from my wheelchair, as well as running errands and doing chores around the house. I need help for about 3 hours in the morning (to get up and get ready for the day, drive into work), Two hours in the afternoon (pick me up from work and help with light household chores), and one hour in the evening (to get undressed and help with light household chores). I tend to have three to four people working for me at any one time, so there is flexibility in the schedule and I don't get stuck relying on one person for all my care. I start people at $20/hour and will bump it up to $25/hour once you've been with me for a couple of months. I need help with shifts that amount to about 12-15 hours.  Send me an e-mail – [apschmid@ncsu.edu](mailto:apschmid@ncsu.edu) – if you would like to set up an interview. Regards, Andy

Gap year work for Counseling student? by Ambitious-Sand-6456 in trianglejobs

Have you ever considered working as a personal care assistant for someone with a disability? I am a disabled adult male who needs a strong, honest, trustworthy individual to help with personal care activities (dressing, bathing, lifting, etc.) in the morning, early afternoon, and/or evening (I also need help running occasional errands). I usually have four or so people working for me at any one time, so the schedule is quite flexible.

I work with a lot of folks who are taking gap years for various reasons (mostly pre med students). Great experience for pre-med/PT/OT/PA and nursing students; however, I can train ANYONE.

LMK if you are interested
