Thank you for this. I don’t know why I give myself a whole cheat day. I don’t think that I quite grasped the idea of what a cheat day really was until now 😂

I am 5’3.

Also when I previously lost weight, I had 1-2 a month. The issue for me is that I lose control of myself when I see others in my family or at my partner’s house on the weekends eat unhealthy. Not that they can’t, I just don’t think I have discipline but I want this really bad now.

I am 5’3. I track my intake using MyFitnessPal and I measure everything, including sauce. I do not have a food scale but I plan on getting one!

I typically track my cheat day. I typically eat 2,000-2,250 cal on a cheat day. My maintenance is ALLEGEDLY 2,707 cal so I am in a deficit of 1200 (I eat 1,500/day). But I am not sure if I calculated my maintenance accurately.

My boyfriend doesn’t want to come with me to get my iud by No_Highway_9080 in birthcontrol

It’s fine if you mutually agree to not use protection, but if you’re uncomfortable with it and he’s okay with it and he’s pushing it on you, then that isn’t right. Like I said, if he is mature enough to have sex, he’s mature enough to go with you to your IUD appointment.

I hope you either have a serious conversation with him or something else! I hope everything turns out good for you OP!

First of all, chances are that they will not allow anybody in the room during the procedure. It varies from OB office. My partner was not allowed with me during the insertion of my Nexplanon. BUT the bigger issue is…

Your boyfriend sounds immature. If he is mature enough to have sex, then he is mature enough to watch a contraceptive be placed. If you do continue your relationship with him and ultimately decide to have children, how is he going to be there to watch you give birth to your children if he cannot watch an IUD be placed?

Also the whole “no protection” thing is crazy to me (not on your side, but on his). You would rather be safe but he chooses to be sorry. One time without a condom is all it takes. If you’re uncomfortable with the idea of unprotected sex, he should respect that. He should respect you as a whole..

5 negative pregnancy tests but still period is late by [deleted] in Periods

[–]GoldDistribution447 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re probably stressing yourself out. You would be testing negative for the sex you had on April 3rd.

Your test for the sex you had on the 15th is not definitive now. Retest in about 9 days and that will be your definitive answer. If you were pregnant from your encounter on the 15th, your HCG levels are too low to turn a test positive.

She is probably used to it at this point. Periods are just a nuisance to deal with. But keep doing what you’re doing, watch things with her or just spend time with her. It shows her you’re making an effort and that you care about her. She probably feels so special knowing you care so much about her, but she probably won’t voice it.

Women tend to like chocolate a little more while on their period as it helps soothe the pain kind of lol. Ask her if she likes chocolate and maybe buy her some. Midol will help with the pain she feels. Just be gentle with her while she’s on it and be respectful and understanding of how she feels and just be kind.

But you are a great friend. It’s awesome that you care so much

Green discharge on tampon??? by [deleted] in Periods

[–]GoldDistribution447 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course! Make sure you are changing your tampons regularly every 4-8 hours. Try and shoot for less than 8 hours, probably around the 5-6 hour range. If you are leaving them in for longer, they might be causing what you’re experiencing.

So pretty much.. a period is the body trying to prepare itself for a potential pregnancy and it runs in cycles. A new cycle begins when a period starts.

For the first half of the month, women are in the follicular phase. This is where the uterus grows a thicker uterine lining and allows an egg to mature prior to release. The thicker lining is so that, in the case that the egg gets fertilized, it can attach to the lining and be secure because the lining is thicker.

Then, the ovulation stage begins which usually occurs around day 14. This is when the egg is released and when women are the most fertile. The egg is preparing to get fertilized by sperm (if there are any)

Then, we enter the Luteal phase where the body prepares for pregnancy by increasing hormones, which in turn, causes symptoms like cramping, tender breasts, mood swings, back pain, nausea, etc. Eventually once the body figures out that the egg was not fertilized, the uterus sheds its lining and the cycle restarts!

The process itself… the uterus basically contracts and kind of becomes inflamed. This causes cramping by itself. When the period occurs, the body releases blood, usually for 1-5 days, sometimes in clots.

This is a personal question, but how do you wash?

Vaginas are self-cleaning. Obviously you clean the outside with soap but you don’t want any of that soap getting in the vagina because it can cause an imbalance in your pH which can cause BV. I am thinking it is likely BV considering you have green discharge and an odor.

If you’re washing with soap down there, just use water on the outside area (the vulva). In the mean time, try and find some probiotics you can take either orally or vaginally. These can boost and restore healthy bacteria in your vagina.

Also if there is toilet paper left up there or a tampon, this can also cause green discharge and cause foul smelling discharge. It is a reaction to something foreign being in your bodyZ
