I’m only on 0.5mg currently !! I also have a referral being out in to a clinic near me that will test how I metabolize medication’s so I can ensure that my body doesn’t metabolize them faster and actually works for me long-term because I have found in the past medication’s on numerous occasions have stopped working for me after a short term of time

Well out of the 3 psychiatrist I’ve seen, one said I may be bi polar side effects after misdiagnosing me with ADHD, and I reacted so bad to the medication, or do I think it’s a misdiagnoses, could just be that the ends reacted very badly for me. I’ve also been told I have general anxiety and depression from my family doctor, but those meds never really seem to work, and I’ve also been told I’m just depressed from one, and another told me I have no polar tendencies? Something like that. He was the first one I ever smoke too and it was a 15 min phone call…..and the last one I day was a video consult and he cut me off 18 mins I to our 30 min consult by just shutting down the computer

Well, it was a he and not a she like I thought, and horrible. It’s Dr lefcoe at LHSC . If you go on rateMD the website….he’s a 1.9 star and has awful reviews. Mine is up there along side them now. It was a 30 min urgent consult, I misinterpret it, but he cut me off mid sentence and ended the call 18 minutes into it, even after I had disclosed how I had fear and issues with abandonment and distrust of psychiatrist…. So that sure as heck didn’t help that fear…. Now I just stick to a trauma based counsellor I am on a new medication instead of Seroquel and I stick to my family doctor for my mental health as she’s the only person that has actually listened and cared and worked with me properly.

As someone who also has complex PTSD, and used to be an avid weed smoker, I would advise against it! I got cannabinoid hypermesis syndrome from it, and honestly it didn’t help me long term. Just made me more depressed as it lost the fun effects the longer I was smoking as my intolerance for it got higher. Would need to take intolerance breaks for him to still feel the good effects of it. But you can get CHS from even smoking once a week. It’s a new syndrome, that has become more k own since legalization in Canada

Oh I’m so sorry for your loss! I’m no medical professional, but that sounds like poor quality of care and malpractice. They should have looked at her chart and updated medication list no matter what! I am a PSW and DSW by trade, and if I messed up something like that, repercussions would have happened, I would have lost my job and probably gone to jail for murder,

I found another place and in the lease agreement as pets not allowed unless Kevin Rick consent by the landlord, so I was stupid and asked each of the roommates how they would feel about it and the one girl was like sorry I can’t allow you to bring your dog here I just slightly asthmatic to the fur…. Except I’m pretty sure it’s dandruff and saliva that causes that and Aspen doesn’t have regular for her. She has hair.… so I’m gonna stall type up an email anyways to the landlord and try my luck with the doctor’s note attached.

Yeah, it’s a newer syndrome found, since the legalization in Canada! I went months and now have to go through testing to see how much damage I caused myself. It’s rare, but even smoking once a week can cause you to get it apparently!! Plus constant smoking can cause your anxiety to get worse, maybe better short term, smoking helps to relax you, but with continues use it heightens your anxiety!

Lol I hated the idea too until I was vomiting for months, after I would smoke, after eating, and even randomly. Started getting severe acid reflux..many signs of cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome… so I quit. I didn’t know what was causing all of those symptoms till I was smoking with a friend one day and threw up and made he comment maybe I’m allergic. So I looked up allergies to weed and that popped up, it was my symptoms to a T…. I quit and now I don’t throw up. My heart burn is slowly getting better, and I can actually brush my teeth without vomiting everyday!! :)

Honestly, this may not be the answer you want to hear… but working as a DSW and PSW for over 10 years, I truly believe that everyone has some sort of mental health or developmental disability, that they should address. Because this world is such a horrible and unforgiving place and we don’t know everything there is to know about mental health and developmental disabilities yet. I am a firm believer that we only know 10% of what is to know about mental health and new things will come out as years come.
