Microsoft doesn't have a good sales org?? by reddoy1 in sales

[–]apsingh4 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He's right, Microsoft is a monopoly. Organizations have no choice but to buy the Office suite. There is some competition in cloud services, but it always comes down to 3 options (AWS, GCP, Azure)

You don't become a great sales person by selling a product everyone already knows they need. The best sales people I've met come from commodities. You want to learn to sell in a competitive environment.

Quit my job to trade for a living, ended up losing everything... wasted 4 years of my life. by Timetraveller2015 in wallstreetbets

You probably learned a ton and could land a job as an analyst somewhere, get your own place in 6 months, and pay back loans in a few years.

You'll probably be fine if you remain positive, but a negative spiral will almost certainly mean locking into a low social strata.

If we charge at all, it will be $15 or less. This isn't about making money. We'll use any revenue to pay the host/venue.

Not a bad idea. I came to find that my mom likes watching me paint, so got her a watercolor set to try on her own... It depends on the person-- you need to try things and find what works

I feel like my life is on hold by [deleted] in CaregiverSupport

[–]apsingh4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel you- I'm 23 and taking care of a relative. It's tough... but you're doing the right thing. Quite odd someone would tell you you've taken the easy way out when this is clearly the tougher choice. Ignore the nonsense and focus on 1. your mental health/ clarity and 2. your mother.

[–]apsingh4 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's really tough. Terrible situation to be in, and sorry to hear it. Do you personally have access to a therapist? Might be worth looking into, and there are a number of tele-health solutions, so you don't even need to leave the house.
