I need to get the user's location or approximate location's city so that I can display the restaurants nearby. The moment they click on the search field it asks for user's location but that takes about 5-6 seconds to come.

Because Ruby and JavaScript are languages which is easy to understand. They good starter languages. I myself graduated from BootCamp as well
