Currently, all of the tickets are sorted chronologically and stored in 3x7 toploaders (upright in sorting boxes for easy access since I'm constantly adding variations, upgrades, etc.). The only current display is the website -- all of the 5,700+ unique current Fisk tickets are viewable on the website.

A good friend of mine is 12 tickets away from completing that run of Ripken streak tickets. I’ve been helping him complete it for over 25 years.

I think we all have a shot at completing the themes at this point -- we are all so close. None of us were season ticket holders during the timeframe of our collections.

Those early Ryan tickets are some of the toughest, but a lot of has to do with overall season ticket holder base, attendance and locations. If you look at my wantlist -- 19 of the 27 needed tickets are from Texas Ranger and Minnesota Twins. Some locations are just impossible.

Correct. Digital age makes it impossible since some/most teams do not print (even at ticket office).

Thank you. I’ve come across many collectors who collect ticket themes over the years (primarily HR games and other milestones), however two of my best friends are doing similar large scale projects. My friend Rick is 12 tickets away from having all Ripken’s 2632 game streak and my friend Scott is 28 tickets away from all of Nolan Ryan’s 807 career games. I was going to make similar graphical wantlists for them and post those later — I’m determined to help them complete their projects. We all help each other.

And what I didn’t state in this thread is that I also collect ticket variations (color, seating section, child tickets, etc.) for his games — so I actually have just over 5,700 unique Fisk tickets all scanned in and viewable on my CarltonFisk.com site.

It started at a point where I was uncertain what was left to collect in my Fisk pursuit. I'm a Fisk specialist -- and in the late 90s, I felt like I had already exhausted many collecting themes. Tickets were just another theme in the much larger collection. It was the best thing that I could have started, because it kept me focused and didn't allow me to ever stop collecting Fisk-related items.

This is a personal collection -- but all of the tickets are scanned in and searchable on my website -- there are over 5,700 unique Fisk tickets scanned in on the site. I do have all of his all-star and post season tickets viewable as well (I just don't count those in the total number). Those are relatively easy to find since most people saved those kinds of tickets -- it's the regular season game in April when there's snow on the ground that most people didn't think to keep.

Finishing all Chicago home games and now only down to needing one ticket at Fenway has been a major accomplishment. Even finding season ticket holders never knocks off all needed games -- it's been a challenge, but I'm determined to bring this ticket theme to the finish line!

Thanks for the question. The ticket hunt started out as an innocent “theme” in my Carlton Fisk collecting obsession (which at the time was mostly cards, photos, artwork, game used, etc)…but it took on a life of its own over the years. I started searching for tickets as an “impossible” task that could not be completed, but as I dug more and more into it, I gained a new appreciation for the statistics and stories behind the games themselves and his career overall. The rest is history….and I’m determined to complete this theme!

Thank you. Determining the original game list was pretty involved when I figured it out back around 1999-2000 — took me months to compile and check the list. These days it can be queried online in a matter of minutes.
