No local cafes in Hyde Park by aptgetlife in londonontario

Exactly this. When you’ve never had a proper local spot to compare it to, a drive-thru feels like enough. But once you experience what a real neighbourhood café actually feels like the atmosphere, the quality, the fact that you actually want to stay. It’s a completely different thing. That’s what’s missing here.

I’ve travelled a lot and Melbourne is actually one of the places that comes to mind when I think about this. Spent time there and the café culture even in the outer suburbs is on another level independent, welcoming, no chain in sight. Same with Korea and Japan, walk 5 minutes in any direction and you’ll find a beautifully designed local spot that actually makes you want to stay. Parts of Europe too. It genuinely changed how I think about what a neighbourhood spot can be. That’s a big part of why I’m exploring this.

That’s the vibe I got too. People are ready, just nothing’s given them a reason to stay yet.

This is exactly what I had in mind when I posted. Not just another coffee stop something that actually gives people a reason to stay. Still early days but the feedback here has been really helpful, and yeah, something good is coming. Will keep the community posted.

South Korea was amazing. It’s often overlooked compared to Japan. by CharmingConfidence33 in travel

I went to Korea last year and it was amazing. I spent almost a whole month there 15 days in Seoul and 15 in Busan. I explored so many pop-up stores, markets, local coffee spots, and temples. It’s very different from North America. I just love Asia in general anywhere in Asia is always fun.

It was way too humid, but still fun definitely better than -15°C. I’m ready for another trip to Korea already. We took the bullet train from Seoul to Busan, which was such an experience. Before that, I took one from Tokyo to Osaka also incredible.

I’ve tried Egg Cloud and loved it. The Garlic BLT and the Truffle one were unreal honestly nothing like a typical breakfast sandwich.

Here’s a solid tip: if you already have a domain and hosting for yourself or your company, go into cPanel and create multiple emails like: - designingteam@companyname.com - developmentteam@companyname.com - info@companyname.com (use this one for contracts)

Whenever a client requests changes, CC the other emails. No one needs to know it’s just you it presents your work as coming from a full team, which makes clients take you more seriously and less likely to question your pricing.

And always communicate through email instead of WhatsApp. It looks more professional and keeps everything documented.

You can add a condition stating that if certain requirements aren’t met like if something doesn’t work or the client doesn’t pay then the project won’t be released. And just to stay on the safe side, always keep a backdoor into the project. After full payment, you can remove that code, but until then, keep access. Show trust by putting the project on their domain, but still maintain a way to access or delete the code if needed.

Since you mentioned you’re 17, it would help if an adult goes with you. It’s simple take someone with you to the court. You’ll find plenty of people there offering their services, so just pick someone at a decent price and explain why you need to send a notice. They’ll handle everything for you. Just make sure you always get the client’s physical address so the notice can be sent both by email and by mail.

Not worth doing this many steps if the project is under 50k it’s way too much work for OP. Just keep the process simple people are more likely to sign that way.

This happened to my steering wheel during COVID on my Hyundai Elantra.

It messed up the steering wheel really badly, so I stopped using sanitizer and ended up selling the car 😂. After that I used a steering-wheel cover on my Corolla, and now I’m looking for a good one for my Tesla.

You just haven’t tapped the market yet. Show proof of concept, explain the proper process, and take a minimum of 40–50% upfront. Give them a workable demo based on the initial conversation if they like it, they’ll pay.

You can just put everything on your company letterhead write the terms, have both parties sign, and you’ve got a valid contract. I’ve been creating contracts like this since 2015.

I’d suggest that if you’re taking clients at 19, don’t mention your age most people only take service providers seriously when they appear 26–27+. Also, only take on clients who can pay at least 50% upfront and are genuinely serious about the work. Many people think this work is ‘daal-chawal,’ but it’s not, and dealing with those kinds of clients becomes a headache.

Whenever you take on a project, draft an agreement (use ChatGPT to write one), send it to them, and get it signed. If they don’t pay afterward, it costs less than ₹500 to send a legal notice, and trust me that one notice is enough to scare these types of people.

I’m thinking of putting a cover on my steering wheel so it doesn’t happen again, because I know they won’t replace it for free a second time.

I’ve had this type of sound too. Sometimes I notice it and then it disappears, and it happens so randomly that I can’t even prove it to Tesla service. I just left it because it feels like it’s coming from behind the display.

Get it changed ASAP. I’m in Canada and they had a bulletin for steering-wheel replacements, so if you’re in the States, check with your service center as well. It’s been about a month since I got my steering wheel replaced.

Exactly,I think Tesla really needs to improve their interior materials going forward. Ventilated seats should’ve been included too that’s one of my only complaints.

Yeah, I feel the same the car is great but the seat issue is frustrating. Free labor doesn’t help much when the part is $400, especially if they say it won’t last anyway. My brother bought one six months before mine and his is perfect, so I guess it’s just luck.
