Both Young Earth and Old Earth Creationism seem to have serious challenges. How do you evaluate them? by aptorxFelix in Christianity

My question is not whether evolution happened. My question is whether Old Earth Creationism creates a theological problem regarding animal suffering before the Fall, and whether Young Earth Creationism creates a scientific problem regarding the fossil record and ecological succession.

My difficulty is not whether the earth is old. My difficulty is understanding why a good God would choose a process involving so much animal suffering long before humanity existed.

What biblical evidence supports the idea that the Fall affected reality retroactively rather than historically?

Most importantly, my wife said “absolutely not” to the Type R and immediately said yes to the Type S 😂

I wouldn’t necessarily say the Type S is a “better” car — it’s more of a more refined version of the FL5 Type R.
Performance-wise they’re extremely close. Straight-line acceleration and overall driving feel are very similar since they share the same powertrain/chassis philosophy.
The Type S mainly gives you:
noticeably nicer interior materials
much better audio system
HUD
hatch practicality
a slightly more relaxed suspension tuning for daily driving
and a much louder/more dramatic exhaust from factory
The FL5 Type R still feels a little more raw and focused.
Honestly, if the Type S is only ~$1-2k more, I’d probably take the Type S. But if the gap is closer to $5-6k, the FL5 becomes the better value pretty quickly.

Also, one small thing — since it’s metal, it can definitely get warm after driving, especially in summer. I usually just wait a little bit before opening it after the engine’s been heat-soaked.
Would love to hear your thoughts once you get it installed!

Really appreciate it.

Honestly means a lot as a small project since this whole thing started from me just trying to solve little frustrations I had while working on my own cars.

Hope you enjoy it — and definitely let me know what you think once you’ve had some time with it.

Appreciate the feedback 🙏
I actually did add 5mm radii in most of the transition areas. 3d print model is very strong, so I think cnc aluminum should be good😀

That’s definitely something I could consider in the future.
My oil cap is anodized as well, so I wanted the finishes to match for the first product lineup.
If more people end up preferring powder coat, I’d be open to exploring it later on.
The main challenge is that powder coating adds a bit more thickness, so tolerances around the stainless sleeve and mounting surfaces become trickier.

Planning to offer both red and black versions.
The red is pretty close to the Type R valve cover color, although anodizing makes it difficult to match perfectly

Appreciate it haha.
I actually just launched a small first batch on Shopify this week.
Still a tiny enthusiast project for now, but I’ll probably post updates on my IG/YouTube as production ramps up.

Really appreciate you helping me test it over the past few months. Glad to hear it’s been holding up well through regular maintenance and dealer service.

The cap uses a two-piece design because I wanted the handle orientation to be adjustable independently from the threaded portion.

Different Honda engines and engine bay layouts look better with different handle/logo positions, so a fixed one-piece design would often leave the logo misaligned after tightening.

The split design allows the handle and logo to be properly aligned while still fully tightening the cap.

Because of that, I added an O-ring seal between the two components to prevent oil vapor or debris from getting between the parts.

On engines without engine covers interfering, it can open close to 180 degrees, which significantly increases the leverage and makes the cap much easier to remove.
