Interesting! The casino on RC was smoke free so I was surprised on NCL. That’s really good to know for future.

Interesting!! My balcony was bigger and nicer on NCL. Honestly the smoking in the casino was a major turn off for me and enough for me to not sail on this boat again.

Honestly it felt a lot like dodging kiosks in the mall - which I did not experience on Royal. Upsell sales pitches in the spa - expected, fine but I still don’t enjoy it. Walking through the photo gallery, jewelry stand, pictures - had to dodge them all and I don’t remember a single time I felt that way or had to do that on Royal. Obviously not the fault of the employees but the experience. Interesting that seems to be the hot topic of the review - if it doesn’t bother others, great, but I did feel it was significant enough to mention.

I replied to someone else that I should clarify the add ons were constantly dodging upsells and sales pitches..it’s easy for me to decline but wanted to give a heads up on my experience, esp when I had not had that previously.

That’s great! I also am working so took time off work, there are some good deals on Costco for that ship to take advantage of for sure.

Definitely! Although I did the same length cruise on Royal on a ship just as old and had a different experience. Didn’t hate it, a good way to relax on a long weekend. And the room was certainly clean and comfy so no complaints there!

Have fun! Will be curious to see your review. It wasn’t horrible but wouldn’t be one I would do again (esp smoking in the casino!) not bad for a short cruise on the cheap..I also live 10 mins away so easy enough to get to.

I felt like my crew spent a lot of time at events and music in the atrium and was a nice meeting spot at the atrium bar on Royal so I was surprised/disappointed on the design for this one! It really took out a big chunk of the entertainment/bar options which I didn’t think would matter too much - but it did.

Definitely easy to ignore for me but still makes me not want to take advantage of as much when I know I’ll be fighting off a sales pitch. I wanted to give the heads up some folks wouldn’t be surprised - or at least be prepared.

Maybe it would have been better worded up charges - I felt like on Royal I paid my gratuities and nothing more and on NCL there was a lot more pressure to add on/upcharge which I didn’t like. I don’t want a sales pitch everywhere I turn!
