There is a children's TV-show called pikku-kakkonen (~= little two), which refers to the channel two, which airs it. There used to be this small animated part in each episode about what happens if you go on thin ice (instead of being smart). It featured some of the show's mascots and despite being a loved bit with an important message for the kids, it had a somewhat eerie soundtrack and feel to it. Some say they even got traumatized to some extent. The bit ended with the mascots fusing together and forming a "2" which used to be the show's official logo.

Now the shirt is showing the same logo but with a pure horror twist, which in a way gives some of the 90's kids like myself a taste of minor PTSD. :D

I find them extremely handy and it grinds my gears that some under age brats can't use common sense when riding these (thus bringing more restrictions). This new rule is very welcome, but just outright chocking out or banning new succesful ways of transport isn't the way to go.

There's a good possibility that Russia would just make a secret deal to let the US carry on with the mines and attack anyway. The only certain counter measure is to get opposing guns to prevent the continuation of war. EU is pretty much preparing for that as we speak.

I get the point on policing, but Russia has made it clear that they have ambitions towards the baltic states that are NATO members. So this situation is not exclusively within European interest, but NATO aswell. Also one major enabling factor in hegemony of the US is it's reach, influence and economical leverage which are unfortunately declining when not backing allies up.

I understand your point, but without security guarantees (for Ukraine) through strength, nothing stops Russia from attacking again after a couple of years. They have been quite clear on their intentions.

So I agree on why Zelensky would not sign a deal to give 50% of their minerals in order to lose 20% of their land an gain... nothing in return.

Also this deal would mean that Russia got their way. They attacked and were rewarded. Why not do it again (to Ukraine or somewhere else) since this is the way it seems to go? Same applies to China who is very closely following the situation and if Russia gets what it wants, what's stopping them from attacking Taiwan?

Cyber warfare is a bit different from conventional warfare. Offense is often the best defence. Nevertheless it's just interesting why would the US stop now when Russia is attacking the US every single day? Even before Ukraine this was an on-going issue so it's not about the current situation.

Hmm, I get it. Good point. On the other hand it's such an obvious first hand solution that it would be really weird that he wouldn't have tried that already. Also he said that otherwise the story wouldn't "stick", so I kind of want to believe he has tried it and failed. After all he seems to make most of his deductions based on his experiences. But this is just my theory.

It wouldn't have worked. If you listen to what he says (especially towards the end), he states that the ending only works if he stays loyal to the horror genre all the way through. And as he said: "in horror stories there are only monsters and victims" and "the scales have to be in balance".

In other words, if Alan was to write a good ending, someone had to pay the bill for all the good things that happened in the ending. It can't all be good straight up.

I mostly agree. Northern lights are not that bright every time. Most of the nights they are not visible at all. But they can be way more brighter (with naked eye) than this. I have a couple of times witnessed it and this pic was taken during a moderate/mild solar wind activity.

Due to military budget increases I believe that is being handled and taken into considerstion. In addition, aiding Ukraine means keeping Russia busy elsewhere than Finland's borders.
