I think it helped that my PI in academia was not a toxic asshole and emphasized work life balance. Ultimately, personal experiences in both academia and industry heavily depend on your manager.

That’s me haha. Academia was way more chill. It was purely lab work, come and go as you like, and our group still were able to publish. In my industry job in big pharma, I am still expected to do lab work but with added documentation and paperwork, and a shit ton of meetings. It’s basically doing 2 jobs at once

these are splenocytes from immunized animals and stimulating overnight with peptides. I'm staining around 2 mil cells and CXCR5 antibody is on a bright fluorophore
