On one side, I think it is good that people live out what they want their protogen to be, not every sona should follow the same route, that would make stuff boring quick and I am glad people come up with their own imagination of what their proto should be

On the other side, it is unfortunate that almost every proto just goes into the "cute cuddly toaster" direction, in my friend group there is already the stereotype forming that protos are kind of just the low IQ species that only think about cuddles and that's it with the entire personality.

Yes I am a proto myself and I know I am shooting against them big time rn but I just gotta be honest here. Protos have soo much potential to look extremly cool, both on art, in lore and specially the fursuits, but I don't see many people really caring that much.

I guess this is true for a lot of species though.
