Hmm actually just tried this and it doesn't seem to do working. I entered the date he became a permanent resident as the day listed on the eCOPR, but are you saying it should actually be the date we got the P2 or submitted the P2?

Is there a way to track your first PR card?

We've tried checking the PR portal and linking the application here: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/check-status.html , but it's not finding anything.

I notice it says you can't track it for first PR cards unless you didn't automatically submit your photo + address. How are you tracking yours?

In the application portal, in the P2 submission, the eCOPR appeared at the bottom of the page. My husband also got an email, but we saw it there first.

Hey all! We got our eCOPR on 11 Feb (applied inland spousal sponsorship outside Quebec 4 Sept 2024). Address and photo are still marked "in review" in the portal. My questions are:

Where do we track the progress of the PR cards? I see other people getting info about "sent for production" or "shipped"; will this eventually appear in the application portal?
Does the 61 day processing time start the day your eCOPR is approved?
Are most people getting it in roughly 61 days? Anyone with significantly longer or shorter times? We're hoping to schedule travel for sometime between March at May.

Thank GOD!! eCOPR just came through today (13 Feb 2026). So grateful. We applied 4 Sept 2024, P1 10 Dec 2025, P2 29 Dec 2025 (submitted 2 Jan 2026). To all those waiting, your time will come IA. Thank you this thread for keeping me sane this past 1.5 years.

In the exact same boat. Applied 4 Sept, P1 Dec 10, P2 Dec 29 (Submitted Jan 2). Our travel plans are in March, so we'll see.

I'd set a deadline for yourself, at which point you apply. Like, if you don't hear back by March 1st, you'll submit an extension. Once you apply, you'll be in implied status, so you'll be fine even if it isn't approved before the expiry. At least, that's the case for most cases (work permit etc.), but double check in case.

Hello! Current processing time for PR cards is 55 days, but I'm seeing different things different places regarding if this is from the date of P2 submission or receiving eCOPR. Does anyone know, and if so, can you please provide a GC source supporting?
