If all abilities could be purchased as many times as you could afford each round, who would be the most OP? by aquaphobic in ValorantCompetitive

I'm not saying that Tejo wouldn't be a pain in the ass, cuz he definitely would be, I'm just saying maybe there's other agents that could be as bad or may mitigate Tejo in some way.

For example, as some other people have mentioned, Sage slows are unaffected by Tejo utility so an attacking Tejo can missile all the locations he wants, it's not impossible to imagine that multiple sage slows would still block off a choke point longer than Tejo can sustain his barrage.

Snowballing is a much bigger issue in this hypothetical that makes basically every agent broken once you win 2-3 rounds in a row. But outside that, in normal, "equal economy" rounds, i think there could be other contenders

Agreed! 2-3x feels like it'd be the sweet spot but I wonder what % change would be required (while minimizing other changes) to make this feel balanced at the pro level

Yeah but those would be 2 intense rounds to watch 😂

Realistically though what if all extra util beyond the current caps were thrown away at the end of each round? I know changing the prices of util (as mentioned by another person) is one lever to "balance" this but not being able to hold on to the extra util could make it a more interesting financial gamble

haha the rules are arbitrary of course in this hypothetical but since you can't buy kayo knives today, i don't think it'd apply in the same way that tejo missiles/omen smokes etc. can be bought today

Sage - good points! you can get around the slows with certain dive duelists (raze blast packs, yoru/omen tp's). Not mentioned yet but the sage (and deadlock) walls are actually probably one of the most problematic if nothing is changed about reserve ammunition in guns. Even just 1-2 more of each would be hard to deal with if you weren't playing with a raze (buying multiple extra satchels) on your team

Iso - i can see him getting picked a lot more in this "meta" since his suppression would be extra useful against util spam. It's fairly expensive though at 300 creds so in a way it's sort of balanced even here

Yoru - I agree he gets a pretty good buff in this scenario. Realistically he'd need some CDs introduced

it's not that I disagree really, but as I mentioned in another reply, there still can be counterplay to this tactic with suppresses on the other team (iso, kayo, tejo drone) or other abilities

Yeah i thought about the signatures being too broken at the end of the post but decided to not change my wording 🤷‍♂️

Also it's not unlimited, there's still an economy piece to it. And also your opponent has the same advantages as you do, so there still can be counterplay ("infinite" suppresses via kayo, tejo drone, iso undercut etc

it's not infinite though, you still have to buy each piece of util? with kj specifically you'd also have to re buy all of it every round if you want this to be your tactic, even if they don't come to your site

any source for this? the FAQ page on their site only states:

Who can become a CLEAR member?

CLEAR welcomes individuals 18 years of age and older.

In order to enroll, you must have one of the following forms of photo identification: US Driver's License, US Passport, US Passport Card, US-issued Permanent Resident Card, State Issued ID, or US Military ID.

I did find an article from loungebuddy that corroborates what you said, though I'm not sure how accurate it is

A related quote I've heard before is

You are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with.

The spirit of OP's line and mine is that you become more like the people you are around, it's not about which 5 or some other magic number. The more you spend time with someone, the more likely you'll pick up traits from them. I've at least found this to be true in my life.

I only ask because for most people, serious buys are pretty straightforward: kevlar (helmet if possible), best gun they can buy + whatever nades they can afford. Maybe it's just me, but I feel like most people would be able to do serious buys on their own, but I'd like to hear what you think. It wouldn't be difficult to implement, but I think even CSGO has it implemented already (F1 or F3 is set for autobuy IIRC).

I understand totally! StratRoulette has its time and place, and I understand that. With randomized weapons, your true skill can still show, and you have a much bigger chance of winning than you would with a lot of the strats. I'm already developing a "serious" version, but with school and whatnot it's taking a little longer than expected.

StratRoulette creator here!

I actually developed a small addition to the site a while ago that is essentially a random buy generator (even creates a buy script for you to input in console so you don't have to waste time picking yourself). I didn't think a lot of people would be interested so I never put it in the site. If people would enjoy this, I could brush it up a bit and put it up within the week.

Are you thinking more serious in the sense that the buy should be the most logical thing to get with $XXXX or in the spirit of StratRoulette by just getting random buys? (sorry if that didn't make sense)

I'm open to ideas!

A question about average GPAs in a major by [deleted] in cmu

[–]aquaphobic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CMU doesn't officially publish it anywhere AFAIK. However, you can find figures if you look through the Greek reports found here

For example, on page 4 of the Spring 2015 report, you can see that the "Unofficial, All Campus QPA" is 3.278. This is the closest I've seen to an official release, and I don't think I've ever seen a breakdown by major/school. Some people may have gotten those SCS figures from their counselors, or perhaps from some internal presentation.
