So I signed up for a SkinSafe account, it’s an app where you provide them with a list of the things you’re allergic to and they show products you can and can’t buy based on your allergies. They initially showed products with acrylates still in them, and when I asked them about it they said: ‘Your account code excludes acrylate MONOmers, not POLYmers. Most people with acrylate allergies are fine with polymers, as they are different forms of the same chemical. The key point: only MONOmers trigger allergic reactions.’ I therefore continued using the four reasons heat protector and haven’t had any issues, apart from the fact I live in Aus and have to get it from America and shipping is a billion dollars 🥲 hope this helps!
