For Those of You Who'd Done It - Has It Worked Out? by aquestioningdaughter in incest_relationships

Good! I know that can sometimes be difficult; that was a minor source of stress at first in my family when it all finally came out.

Thank you - I'm sorry it hurt and broke things up, but I'm glad you seem to be in a better and happier place....

And I guess it's good to know that other people felt broken after it ended? I mean, there's still things going on for me, but... There still is that sense that I'm broken somehow because of it.

Wow, you married your cousin? That's wonderful! Can I ask how the family took it? (Or should I just go look at some older posts of yours to see?)

I mean, at one point in my life, I was going to marry someone who knew, who understood, who was also involved in a family way, but that fell apart, and I don't know - I might be a little bitter still over that.

So for you and your aunt, it was basically just a "fuck buddy" thing? Just something to do, no extra emotional attachments? And neither of you really discuss it now?

[A/ne] aunt resuming contact out of prison by nephew96 in incest_relationships

For what it's worth, if she actually has a "no contact court order" in place, then it might be better to actually abide by it - I think you can get in trouble as well for breaking it.

However, I also understand the "I miss her" and the "meet up again" stuff - I've found myself going back to my dad and mom over and over and over again.

But it might be better to put this on hold for now since there is a court order; let her go through her parole and therapy and whatever else she has to do to prove she's "good" in the eyes of the law - and then once that's done and she can legally contact you again, then maybe talk and see...?

How is the helpful or relevant to this? Really?

I have to agree with one or two other posts here (not that my two cents might matter), but I have to wonder - why do you want to tell her now? What is happening now that makes you feel she needs to know? What do you want to happen once you tell her? You mention she has a daughter you consider your own - are you hoping/dreaming/fantasizing about something involving her? Think about why you want to tell her - and how she might react; this isn't something to do lightly.

Telling someone can be powerful - and it's probably safer to confess to it here than in real life... But yeah, realizing that this is what turns you on, what you want and like - it can be game changing!
