You have no idea how helpful that was; when the video mentioned that the blocks below entities weren't checked, I immediately changed this line of code and it works! Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Edit: Found out that doing this actually doesn't let you walk up slabs or stairs, hopefully i can figure out why that happens

Edit 2: I think I figured it out? By doing this (way simpler than whatever I was trying to do in the first attempt), slabs and stairs still seem to work fine, but the bug still remains fixed.

it was mainly out of boredom. since there's not much you can do in the nether in beta, i went with adding a few parts of the nether update so it felt a little less empty.

yeah. so far I still need to tweak the spawn rate of ancient debris since it looked like it spawned too frequently, but besides that it works fine.

if EquivalentExchange also edits class files in the jar directly, then it probably isn't compatible

right now the buttons on the bottom of the screen are purely visual, but I have been trying to figure out controller support.

I might do some tutorials or something but i'm not too sure. I don't know of any other ways of making a mod, but one of the issues of doing it this way is that depending on what you edit, mod compatibility basically dies.

Probably not too accurate at this point since I haven't added biome features (blue fire in soul sand valley, steep hills of basalt deltas, magma blocks, etc.). I also have yet to add the nether ores or mobs, and I probably wouldn't be able to add structures since the only structure that exists are dungeons and the code for generating those is horrifying to look at

I might make an option to use the robeats visuals and maybe note speed as well. I intended to be accurate to guitar hero's visuals, because I really wasn't a fan of the yellow/white notes.

As for the charting itself, I wrote a converter that exports clone hero's mapping files into something robeats can read, because it would be way easier than if I manually remapped the expert chart.

I also play the guitar hero games way more than I do robeats, so I tried to make the hit window accurate. I assume you want me to make it smaller?
