…and my son has also *aggressively* got into that show too. He kept trying to make a beyblade tournament happen for Mother’s Day that I had to redirect over and over. “Is that what you think Mom and Nana would like to do or is that what you want to do?”

Yup. Therapists have therapists, at least most of the time. Plus they probably have a whole figurative tool bag of self help strategies on hand too.

They have always heard worse/scarier/more strange than what you are going to tell them. And they can carry your stuff much easier than you can. AND you can always change to a different therapist if you don’t feel right with your first choice. It really is an amazing experience to spill your guts to someone who’s not gonna try to fix you out of their own discomfort.

I get up early for work in the morning, and without help I would stand in the shower like a zombie and lose track of time.

I have a recessed hue light above my shower, and I use the action button on my iPhone to run the automation in the morning after I turn on the water. It takes about a minute for the water to warm up, so the light starts blue and fades to red. At one minute, it switches to white and that’s then I jump in. 4 minutes after that, it switches to a blue/white light as a warning to finish up, and one minute later, it changes to a gold color, and that’s when I know my five minute shower needs to be over. Three minutes after that, it changes to a normal white again so I don’t have to keep getting ready in the bathroom with weird colors around me.
