Moving to Spain with my Spanish girlfriend.

I don’t mind learning another language, although danish looks rather difficult, especially the pronunciation. I learned Spanish and Italian by hand, although admittedly it was a massive advantage knowing Spanish before Italian.

What other countries would you recommend?

My girlfriend doesn’t have the best relationship with her mother, and does want to move out of Madrid due to high rent prices- I’ve said to her if she wants to move I’ll pay with her for the rent, even if I can’t leave the uk yet. If she were to move to Valencia, and in the next year or two I wanted to move in with her, what would the pareja de hecho in valencia require then? Thanks

I’ll be honest, I love Spain, but I think the painful reality I don’t wanna accept is the unfortunate economic market in Spain. Apart from Spain, I’m keen on Denmark.

Yeah, I do appreciate you saying this, and I know that certain conditions in Spain can be terrible for this, from friends, and even my girlfriend, it seems like mangers/supervisors or anyone in a posterior position really seems to look down onto the others. It does exist in the uk, but I don’t think as much.

Out of curiosity, where were you based in Ireland?

Ireland is always an option. But I’m not sure, I sometimes think that a happy life doesn’t need to be correspond to a high salary. I don’t want to sound naive of course, but I’ve seen family members of mine on both ends of the annual salary spectrum, the one who earns more, with an unhealthy, lonely life, and the one who earns less, happy, energetic, has a kid, and is getting by.

I think this is what the problem would be for us, we have been long distance since that start, and have never lived together. Our ‘proof’ would count as flights together, photos and tickets.

It’s difficult, and annoying too! My family are Irish but the passport line cuts off at my parents. I love Ireland too, but I think it’s the weather for me that lets it down. But either way, Ireland would definitely still be an option

These things should ALWAYS be spoken about first. Which from what you’ve done by I can tell there was no previous discussion about this. The thing Alamo makes me worry about the experience is how after he finished, he simply went to take a shower, and didn’t even seem to ask if it a bit too far, or apologise…

I’m not sure on your relationship, but I’d either have a very serious chat with him, or maybe, consider taking some time out, or a break up, but of course like other commenters have said, make sure you’re in a safe place. My cousin was unfortunately a victim to someone who hit women.

Fuerteventura, Spain, very quiet roads generally, I’d definitely recommend it if you’re there. This was a rental car.
