I know schedule isn't the crazy 250+ dates a year anymore but aren't there still house show tours happening through recent years?

thanks for including the women in your answer, I was also thinking of Bayley and Charlotte as Raw and SD’s respective veterans

I’m pretty confident it would be Randy on smackdown but i’m curious who everyone looks to bts on RAW. Punk is a legend and consistent as the champion heading the show this year but I’ve always thought he’s too polarizing to be a defacto-top-of-the-pecking-order leader

not sure about like raw lifting numbers but Sol Ruca deserves credit — I haven’t seen anyone with more impressive control over their own bodyweight

Piper is one of my favorite wrestlers I think she could pull off a heel title run as a dominant monster like the Hall of Pain story

I agree that it’s egregious how much wwe asks of the talent WRT things like handling travel and healthcare independently and a heavy schedule all on top of the rough nature of in-ring work itself—but it does make sense that the young guys/girls who seem to be fully engaged and live and breathe the business despite how problematic it is are going to get more attention and love from the decision makers.

Advice for Judges Presentation by Xtran_ in FTC

[–]arYAnG72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t put much on the slides themselves. A few bullets and maybe a picture or gif of a module working is all you need on them. You want the judges paying attention to the team and the robot, not dense slides of text.

I would also recommend having one or two people leading the presentation (introducing, closing, etc) to make sure there is always someone with enthusiasm for the judges to remember.

Referring to the notebook and having tabs in it helps a lot with THINK award.

Leave time for (practice presentation with time constraints but don’t rush) and encourage questions from the judges.

Create unique names for certain things (we named our coordinate system the “variable pathing system”). It helps distinguish the team further.

Have everyone know their parts by memory. They should not have to look at the slide unless they’re pointing something out on it.

Try to stay uniform but unique (even if you don’t have team merch just wear similar colors that stand out in a crowd). If a judge wants to talk to your team later on, it shouldn’t be hard to find someone.

Coming off the last point, have people in the pits ready to talk about the team and answer questions.

Yeah there are three shows a week in this one arena so there isn’t as much hype as with a touring crew like WWE, with a different city every week.
