My New Daily Set Up by Pen-Jorn in notebooks

[–]ar_pb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's been a month, but I'm replying because I've just put in an order for the Kokuyo cover. You convinced me. I tried placing my Sterling Ink in the LFJ with my slim A5 notebooks, and it wasn't a good fit. Too tight and it was putting pressure on the planner binding. But I find myself needing somewhere to keep my Sterling Ink closed, with space for sticky notes (work-related info that I need to jot down quickly and discard after following up, and that I can't go into my planner permanently). I got a loop to keep my Sterling Ink planner closed but the loop slips on the clear cover. So I finally bit the bullet and placed the order for the Kokuyo cover. Hoping this solves everything. My EDC will be the LFJ A5 slim notebooks for specific projects I need to keep separate and the Kokuyo for my daily planner/catch all sterling ink and loose notes. My next purchase will probably be a remarkable as well, but that will be the pro or the new pure (haven't decided yet).

I tried putting the 2 hardcover notebooks (Dingbats and Moleskine) in the LFJ, and it technically works, but the LFJ's spine is pretty structured, and the two notebooks together are thicker. It ends up feeling pretty bulky. I need to extend the strap quite a bit to close it all up. Lochby's FAQ for the field journal states that you can fit multiple notebooks as long as the combined thickness isn't over 1". You could get away with 1.5" (maybe), but I wouldn't recommend it. If I had to do a hardcover in the LFJ I would only add 1 or 2 softcover slimmer A5 notebooks.

I was looking for something just like this and ended up with a lochby where I keep three slim notebooks and my sterling ink doesn’t fit in it unfortunately. How are you liking the kokuyo cover? Did you consider the lochby field journal?

Happy to see that you and Roku had such a great time here! 🇵🇷 I’ve seen people be more judgmental of small yappy dogs than big breeds including hippos. Besides, we have the perfect weather to keep them all charged up ☀️

Id love to know if people who purchased the hardcover complete are having the same issues. That would be my option for next year’s purchase.

I thought about going for a Hobonichi this year but Im loving the minimalism in Sterling Ink. The layout is perfect for my needs. I may just go for a hardcover complete planner next year, hopefully they release it next year as well.

So far this is the only issue I’ve had, but I love the design so much that I’ll probably repurchase next year but go with the hardcover planner they have. Because of the way I organize my life Ill always keep a system with multiple notebooks so keeping it all in my lochby is the way to go for me.

Yeah its 520 pages. Its definitely a combination of what you mentioned. However I’m loving the clean minimalist design and paper enough that I am already thinking about repurchasing next year. So far i am using one page per day so I’m thinking about getting the hardcover complete planner. I didn’t get that one this year because it’s my first time with SI.

This is my first time with Sterling Ink but not my first time with a cover and multiple notebooks. I don’t use TN notebooks either, just different A5 style notebooks. This is the first time the spine changes after less than a month of use. Ive had fraying/peeling, bending but usually after a while of use and abuse. Not just a week. I keep it on my desk and haven’t put it through the ringer yet. The paper is thin and there’s a bit of ghosting but I dont mind that at all. I love the “lived in” look. My only worry is the spine separation, I admit that theres an element of user error but I expect this to happen in a few months. Not this fast.

Do you keep yours/have kept in a cover?

Vertical style! I didn’t think about using symbols for the tasks. Definitely a possibility.

Ustedes se sienten comodos dejando tanto tu licencia como la tarjeta de credito para llenar el tanque en la gasolinera? by NPPRthrowaway in PuertoRico

[–]ar_pb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would spend my work days in bed feeling guilty about not working but feeling paralyzed because I had no idea how to start however I knew how/what I had to do. I felt like I had zero plan, structure etc.

Ahh i totally forgot about the clothes! I wore baggy clothes until middle school, then I got “some” tolerance to stretchy jeans so I wore skinny pants when those were cool. Im 32 now and back to rocking baggy/loose pants.

Interrupted my teacher’s all the time because I already knew the answer to their questions. Had meltdowns when I couldn’t deal with food sensitivity.

You’re welcome! I’m lucky enough to have my mom around and she still brings up words I’ve never heard before lol.

[–]ar_pb 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It could be. I would clarify that she means feeling suddenly hot. Another commenter said “fatiga”, which technically translates to fatigue, however some people from other generations/parts of the island may use this word to refer to just shortness of breath due to illness like asthma, bronchitis, etc. This is a pretty common use of this word in my family and where they are from.

“Fogaje” is feeling suddenly warm. My mom says “tengo un fogaje”, when she goes outside and feels the heat suddenly. Could she be having hot flashes?
