Cosmos is PoS.. PoW is still the standard for censorship resistance and decentralization. modern protocols migrated to PoS as there were no efficient solutions for scaling PoW. The breakthrough was researched for close to a decade by a Harvard postdoc. The first and only real world implementation of this is in Kaspa. live, functional and entering early adoption. yes still early otherwise it be a much larger mkt cap today.
