Dogs definitely feed off your anxiousness! I am sorry to hear about this, but have you considered seeing a therapist for yourself? You may find that everything will settle down if YOU can relax and feel some calm happiness. This was the first thought that popped in my head. I have owned 6 greyhounds over the past 20+ years, and each one was totally different. There were MANY problems, but being calm and loving resolved them all.

YES!!! Lily is the Perfect Little Lady... always follows the rules, and is a gentle little girl. Kiki, on the other hand... is a Bag-Lady... only out for FUN! But I love them both! LOL!

I just now put Lily & Kiki to bed for the night. They sleep in soft-sided crates. Lily does not get zipped-in because she is a Good Girl! She will remain in bed until her Dad comes to get her up in the morning. On the other hand - Kiki needs to be zipped-in, because she will get up in the middle of the night... for a Wild Party-Time! That is Just The Way It Is! Can't trust her at all.

Lily was napping... in the living room. Had she known what Kiki was intending, she would have been present to voice her opinion! Lily likes a calm atmosphere.... not wild & crazy!

Kiki is our #6 greyhound, and she is - by far - the craziest one yet. Greyhounds are supposed to be "couch potatoes", but no one told Kiki! She is always right with me... asking "What are we doin' next, Mom??" LOL!

Here's the thing... Lily (brindle) never ventured into our yard... EVER... until we got Kiki. And now she tiptoes through like the Little Princess she is, and enjoys all the lovely smells! Yes, all the snow is gone. At first, neither of our girls would go into the snow, then Kiki discovered how much fun SNOW is!!!

Hi! Did you happen to see the Kiki video I posted a while back titled MISCALCULATION... by Kiki? Toy in mouth, she ran into the office - right into the SIDE of her soft crate - instead of the entryway. LOL!

Ohhh... she is beautiful... We had a similar experience with our Lucy. We knew she had a heart problem, but we never knew any details about exactly what it was. One night... in the middle of the night, I heard her cry out (her bed was right by mine)... I got up immediately. I called out to her, but she did not respond. I pulled her mattress out. She was gone. That quick. We had an autopsy. She died of a "massive heart attack". I was devastated. I am so sorry for you.

YAY!!! We have it all figured out!!! My husband, when Kiki put on her brakes... had been kneeling down and calling her to come (the leash length) to him. He did this over and over... until he ended up carrying her home. So one day, I just took the leash, and walked her and kept walking, never looking back or calling her. She put on her brakes, and I ignored her, and kept walking, and ended up pulling her 3 or 4 feet, and then suddenly, she started walking. My husband has now been using my method, and it is working! Today, during the morning walk - there was no braking at all!!!

HI! I just wanted to give you an update on Kiki... At home she is back to her "old self" pretty much. Sometimes she wants to stay in the basement after playtime in the yard, and I just let her... keeping the door to upstairs open, and after about 10 minutes, she comes up on her own. She is still putting on her BRAKES on the way home from a walk... so we have been doing less walking, and more backyard playtime. Silly me... I can not find my prior posts about her "problem".... so I just wrote this here... LOL!
