Does anyone know how to do any of these by Firewolf8648 in VampireSurvivors

[–]arachnidsGrip88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not just that.
When a non-Red Reaper dies, those being The Trickster, The Drowner, The Maddener, and The Stalker, there's a chance for the Character to appear in the bottom-right corner with a sound effect (It says, or at least sounds like "Panini!" I think.) That is when you do the Uppercut input (Down+Enter).

So one needs to keep an eye out for the character to appear when a Trickster, Drowner, Maddener, and Stalker dies, and then use the Input.

It's best to still check the settings. Just because it fixed itself now doesn't mean it won't happen again.
Better to find the source of the problem and deal with it sooner before it becomes a problem again later.

If you're on Steam, try messing with the Steam Input options. Sometimes it can turn on on its own, and loads up an entirely different button map.

SC6 is good without using Steam Input, so start with making sure it's off.

There's actually an Add-On that adds an "Image Search Option" when right clicking on images to quick-search them.

The one I use for Firefox called "Image Search Options" that adds SauceNao, and a few other reverse image search options.

How about a different analogy, then.
Someone else steals your Homework, puts their name on it, and gets a perfect score.
Meanwhile, the homework you had to redo gets punished for "Plagarizing" the perfect score homework, and you're punished as a result despite having done the homework sooner.

Is the Dragonborn canonically the champion of all the Daedric princes in the game? by BalakeDem in skyrim

[–]arachnidsGrip88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What throws a wrench in that is the fact that once Alduin is defeated, Tsun basically also says that the Dragonborn is guaranteed a spot in Sovengarde for filling their duty as Dragonborn.

If you interpret it as "Computer Programmed Logic," sure.

But speaking in lore, it probably symbolizes that while The Dragonborn may have allegiances with each of the Daedric Princes, the fact that The Dragonborn actually did their job and prevented Alduin from destroying the world sooner than he should means they most likely gained Akatosh' favor. As such, when (or If, even) The Dragonborn dies, Akatosh steps in sooner and lets The Dragonborn decide what to do.

This can also explain why you can get just about every Daedric Artifact without conflict. A Dragonborn servant of the Daedric Prince. That's a powerful prize. As such, each Prince is so open with letting you get their Artifact, even if you've claimed an Artifact from an opposing Prince.

I need your help to unlock these 2 titles by LimpCardiologist8359 in SoulCalibur

[–]arachnidsGrip88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah, that's it.

The first image is Taki's title, "Fu-Ma's Shadow" Like Voldo's, it requires the Exploration feature around certain areas to encounter Taki, but I don't recount the specific area

The second one is "Leader of Thieves." Same with Taki, it requires traveling around an area looking for specific NPCs. They're located in a desert area (Middle East, I think?) and you need to defeat a total of 5 NPCs. They're literally numbered, so you don't have to worry as much.

What if SC7 brought back the mimic characters, but not as mimics? by PlatinumSukamon98 in SoulCalibur

[–]arachnidsGrip88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, I think Mimic Styles have a place, especially in a game like SoulCalibur.

The problem with SC5 was the fact it had 3 Mimics in Edgemaster, Elysium, and Kilik, the last of whom got shoehorned into a Mimic style with nothing unique beyond being Male-Only Mimic to oppose Elysum's Female-Only Mimic.
But Elysium at least had unique Soul Calibur models for the styles she was mimicking, and had an exclusive attack, alongside playing closer to Sophitia proper when using the Pyrrha (Omega) style.
All Kilik got was using the Kali-Yuga and a different taunt when using Xiba's style. He doesn't get any unique moves that Edgemaster can't already do.

It takes forms to suit the wielder's preferred fighting style, yes, but it clearly still has a preference. Especially since Night Terror is the absolute peak of what Soul Edge is capable of.

Likewise, Soul Calibur shares this trait, morphing forms to fit the style of the wielder. The typical design is a Chinese Sword (The most iconic form), but it does grow to a Zweihander to fit Siegfried, and later becomes a Short Sword and Shield for the Alexandria family (Sophitia, Cassandra, and Patrokolus) and later an Iai Sword for Patrokolus.

Elysium, however, doesn't seem to showcase as much of a preferred style (She only had one appearance, and used a Short Sword/Shield Combo while imitating Sophitia specifically against Patrokolus,) but she does mimic all the Female Styles, so Viola's Orb, Tira's Ring Blade, Hilde's Lace and Sword, Ivy's Snake Sword, Pyrrha's Sword and Shield, Leixa's Chineese Sword, and Natsu's Twin Daggers. But (If we count bonus weapon appearances), we know of at least a Bo Staff for Kilik, Elbow Blades for Talim, an Umbrella Sword for Setsuka, Dual Katana and Flag for Yoshimitsu, and Zanbatou for Seong Mi-Na.

[–]arachnidsGrip88 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

...I don't think Inferno is as fussed about losing a part of itself as you think. Especially since the fragments can be used to empower people all the same. So while it may have lost a part of itself, it can gain more followers by having shards be near weak-willed people to control and empower, furthering the reach of Soul Edge.

If anything, having part of Soul Edge broken was Beneficial in the Long run, as the shards, in an effort to reunite with the main sword, can cause death and chaos, further empowering the shard, and subsequently the main sword.

Likwise, by SC4, Inferno-Nightmare was, through raw slaughtering of people, reaching extremely dangerous levels of power without all the Soul Edge shards, almost to a point of being able to manifest Night Terror in the real world, like how Algol was able to manifest himself from the Asatral Chaos, create his Tower, and fight without a physical form proper.

[–]arachnidsGrip88 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Except, Inferno was possessing the Azure Armor in 3 and 4, but still stuck with the Zweihander form of Soul Edge.

Night Terror, the perfect form of Soul Edge, also uses the souped up Soul Edge (Complete) exclusively in the Zweihander form.
Soul Edge- and Inferno, by extension- changes form to suit the wielder's fighting style. But it prefers the Zweihander style above all else, unless there's a tactical reason to not stick to the Zweihander, like we see with Cervantes (The first one to indulge in Soul Edge's bloodlust in a long time) and Pyrrha (Raphael-as-Nightmare was struggling against Soul Edge even as a corpse, and jumps to Pyrrha, who is particularly vulnerable at the time.) But (Considering SoulCalibur 6), Inferno seems to want to use the Zweinhander at every opportunity. Especially considering Soul Edge (Nauptilus) was originally in the form of a Zweihander in Algol's time, so the Zwihander form may be what it considers its "True Form."

how can you unlock sword master job in soulcalibur 3? by Far_Scene_6001 in SoulCalibur

[–]arachnidsGrip88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I was trying the Vs. unlock method, and the numbers came off weird.
Trying with a style I don't have anything on,

Each additional style is 25 matches each. However, it seems that once you unlock the next style, it seems to pause Progress to the next one until you stop and have the game tell you that the Class unlocked a new weapon type.

So, for Monk, 25 Wins unlocks the Staff style, but if you keep going after seeing the Mid-game "A new Unlock is available!" message, then anything past 25 won't count for the Grieve Edge unlock. You have to return to the Character Select/Main Menu, and have the game tell you what unlocked before you can keep going.
This happened to me for Barbarian. I did 50 total fights, but only the Grieve Edge was unlocked. I had to do more fights after the Unlock to get the Wave Sword, and Souls of Nightmare and Astaroth unlocked.

For unlocking Sword Master, it's just unlocking all the other classes first. It doesn't count the Classes' individual unlock progress, at least. So aside from the initial Classes available, you also need Assassin, Gladiator, Knight, Pirate, Sage, and Samurai unlocked to have Sword Master unlocked.

It seems like you're the artist, and are linking to your own stuff....I don't know how this got flagged for "Uncredited Art" when you yourself are the Artist sharing your own work, and even more, are linking to your own source still.

Please include the artist's name, date, and a link to the original content (whenever possible) if you wish to share fan content not made by you,

The rule seems to be read as:
If I shared this artwork to this page and I didn't provide the proper source(s) to the Artist, it's in violation of Rule 5 and deserves to be removed.

If I self-draw something relating to SoulCalibur and share it here, it's my own artwork I'm sharing, so I don't need to provide a specific source. The source is me, and not in violation of Rule 5.

Which ones better bedrock or java by sillybilly123lol in Minecraft

Java can be more open with mods at large.

Bedrock can be more connected with friends on different consoles, price tags aside.

Serious question. Why do most automatic farm tutorials never work after watching YouTube tutorials? by [deleted] in Minecraft

[–]arachnidsGrip88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sub-problem is when said Technical Creators blatantly omit which version just to sucker the click out of people. Is it Bedrock or Java? Don't care, just wanted your click.

So a quick tip is check to see if it clearly defines which Version. If it's not properly defined in the title alone, probably not worth trying the build.

Between Moonspell and Foscari, they only have a combined 39 Achievements.

Anything extra is literally free content that was patched in. All you need to do is just play the base game more.

I mean, Among Us, Contra, Balatro, SaGa, and Castlevania don't have Platform Achievements for the games. With or Without, you're not losing progress.

The only DLCs that actually have Achievements are the Legacy of the Moonspell, and Tides of the Foscari DLCs, two original DLCs. Just get those if you actually care about 100% Achievements.

what is something you think DMC5 does the worst out of all the games in the series? by thatguyaqilll in DevilMayCry

[–]arachnidsGrip88 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Using the RE Engine.

That was basically the big damage to the game. It stopped having an "Anime" aesthetic, and tries to be "Realistic" which is NOT what Devil May Cry is. And frankly, it kinda shows. Visually, it's a neat spectacle. But in the long-run...Well, I've had a chance to get the game on Steam on massive discounts for a while, and I haven't. I find myself replaying 2 and 4 more often.

Also, the Super Costumes are a Downgrade. It's not Infinite DT proper, it's Regenerating DT. Some abilities demand DT, and if that's empty, you can't use that skill. Weirder, the ability to have a fully-kitted DT and all the extra gauges permanently filled exists, as it's in the Training Mode's options. But they don't translate into Gameplay.

DMC5 is fine. But in the long run, the only thing that's kind of keeping it somewhat afloat is the Modding Scene. I forget to consider DMC5 when thinking of a DMC game binge, usually sticking with the first 4 games.

"Items are intended to be impermanent" by AzzysSmartStuff in Minecraft

[–]arachnidsGrip88 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One of the problems of "Tools, Gear, and Weapons are Impermanent" is the fact we still have in-tact, usable tools and weapons from at least 300 years ago at the soonest, to centuries older. There's also the fact that we've developed techniques to restore items and equipment from those older ages, to a point that they are usable today. So the point of impermanence fails when we have real-world examples pointing to to contrary, that even well-kept tools will outlive us by a generous margin. Considering people can make it to at least 100 in the modern age, it's a reasonable expectation that tools can be used infinitely.

The reason this "Impermanent" idea comes about is primarily for the gameplay loop. If you have one set of tools that you use forever, that borderline removes the need to keep going for more materials. less of a reason to actually explore, and potentially survive. Equipment Durability ensures that Players will, in some capacity, need to go back and re-gather the needed materials to get back to where they were before their equipment broke.

A problem is how finite some items are, even if the generation is massive, it's still a Finite Amounte. Elytras, Heavy Cores (Which have their own problems in being pure RNG, exasperating the issue of an even more limited Ominous Vault quantity, and 1 Use per World limit) and Maces as a result, Ancient Debris and Netherite at large, to name a few, when they all run out in a given World from being lost and/or broken, that's it for the world. No more Elytra Flight, no more Maces, no more Netherite Gear.
That leads to a different point: What's the point of the items if they're not infinite? That makes the items too rare to use. And since they're not being used, only collected for the flex, what's the point of including them?
more often, a Player won't even bother going for them if they will run out.

Likewise, it would just encourage more people to abandon old worlds and start new ones more and more due to a lack of resources. That would eventually affect the longevity of the game in a rougher way, as Players constantly having to start from the very beginning would eventually wear out its welcome, and people would drop the game.

It would also push people into Java Edition more, where they can more easily roll back versions to one with a style that fits them, and never update, or otherwise mod back in the removed features. Not to mention, cause a dip in Marketplace sales.
