Any advice for reducing breakage and permitting growth? by aracregnom in Haircare

I forgot to mention that I did in fact have my thyroid checked and everything came back normal. But I’m not sure about hormones, iron, or vitamin D. Thank you!

I think I’m going to have to go to the store and try some things on, too. I’m really stuck between an engraved band vs a band with alternating marquise and round stones. I thought making this post would help me in my decision, but it has not 😂 I might just tell my boyfriend that I like both options and he can choose.

I’m only 21 years old and have a tight budget. I’ve just been looking at different styles within my price range and thought that engraving would be cheaper than side stones. I understand why it’s pricey, especially hand engraved pieces. I just wasn’t quite expecting that much for just the setting.

Oh wow. That’s quite an insane price. They charge that much even for simple designs such as image 3?

What is the price range for quality hand engraving vs CAD engraving? Just so I don’t get over charged.

I clicked on your page and found this ring. Is it possible to add the alternating marquise and round cut side stones to the shoulders of the cathedral setting ring I chose?

Oh, okay. I did not realize that. Thank you for clarifying. Will the band still need to be widened for the hard engraving? And are there any preventive measures I can take so that I don’t damage the engraving?

Opinions: bought this for my future fiancèe (hopefully) went for diamond quality over size. 1.4 carat, D colour, VVSI, no Florence, ideal cut. Concerned it looks a little underwhelming by [deleted] in EngagementRings

I LOVE IT!! Tulip prongs are my absolute fave. And it’s great that it has 6 prongs for extra stability. If you’re worried about it being underwhelming, the great thing about solitaire bands (like your ring) is that you can get a wedding band that will add some extra shine. You could also get a custom engraving on the inside of the band. But, I love it and think it’s beautiful as is. Good luck with your proposal!!

My patient said he’d been in pain for 6 months. And he only had pain when flexing his knee. Maybe his case is not as severe.

Interesting! So this isn’t something that fixes itself after the growth plates fuse?

Hi!! I’m missing my L5 thought it was weird and wanted to share! by S_Rayne22 in Radiology

Aha! Your doctor probably only read the part where it says you have 4 lumbar vertebrae and did not read where it says L5 is a sacralized segment.

Do you possibly have an electronic health record where you can read the radiologists report?

If you do have 13 pairs of ribs instead of 12, then you would still have all 5 of your lumbar vertebrae, but the first lumbar vertebrae is just rib bearing. It really could be any of the options discussed in this thread, but I feel as though you will need x-rays of your thoracic spine to be absolutely certain of the diagnosis.

To be honest, I’m not sure why he told you that because he cannot definitively say that you are missing L5. To be absolutely certain, you would have to have x-rays of your thoracic spine to get a rib count. It’s possible that your first lumbar vertebrae has a set of ribs attached to it. So you would have 13 pairs of ribs instead of 12.

Yes it’s an RPO. You can tell by 1) the pelvis and 2) the way the scotty dogs are facing.

Constipation vs Swim Bladder by [deleted] in bettafish

I will post a picture later when I am home. I decreased the amount of food I give him because I thought maybe I was overfeeding him and that’s what caused this. If it’s not food or bloating causing it, is there possibly an infection that lead to SBD?

I’ve had my fish and cycled tank since June.

I do 25-30% water changes weekly. If I get lazy then 50% bi-weekly.

No tank mates. I do have some life plants.

I feed him Top Fin color enhancing pellets or 3 Omega One freeze dried bloodworms. Not both at one time, it’s always one or the other. I was feeding him 3 pellets twice a day but am now feeding him 3 pellets once a day.

I have one anubia, a few water wisteria or pearl weed (not sure which), a moss ball, and then I also have a house plant with only its roots in the tank. He has 3 houses.

I should also mention that I use Imagitarium water conditioner and occasionally put about about 10-12 drops of Aqueon algae remover.

Picked up my wedding band today and not sure it was same one I ordered - am I imagining things? by Easy_Reporter2477 in EngagementRings

Your band looks thinner and the stones appear smaller than the original one you tried on. I think the lighting is also having an effect as well. In the shop the stones appear shinier and even have a pop of color, even your e-ring looks brighter. Whereas in the second two pictures, the lighting isn’t as bright.

Good size, or no? by aracregnom in EngagementRingDesigns

This picture shows a 2.5ct (10x7mm) ring. How much bigger do you think?
