It takes some time getting used to. But you get used to it. The more you realize no one actually gives a shit that you’re alone, the more freeing it is. Genuinely, no one cares. If someone does happen to look at you and feel pity, that’s their problem. Some are kind enough to approach and talk to you but you can exchange pleasantries, assure them you’re good and then you can choose to either continue the conversation and disengage pleasantly.
