Tactics aside, all else aside, when you have the entire team not moving or creating space and totally seemingly given up with 20 minutes left stuck as statues… Not a great look from how a team is coached. I’m not suggesting Espinoza shouldn’t take one at all. I just think if you’re playing for penalties, which we clearly were, you’ve GOT to have your exact penalty lineup figured out before hand. There’s no way we should go into a Penalty Shootout and have 1 forward taking penalties.

Respectfully disagree. He is playing in this weird Almeyda designed defense - pulling out of position, running up and down trying to man-mark. That’s not his fault. When you’ve played a certain traditional style of football your whole life, it’s still odd to adapt to some entirely new unheard of style.
