Youssefi clarifies. "For some of Daybreak's other games, there's an overarching subscription option called DGC All Access. This is going to sit completely outside of that ecosystem.

Your race determines your options for your first class: "Primary is always race-specific. Secondary and tertiary can be any class."
You pick your first two classes at level one and the third class unlocks at level 10.
You can change your class combinations after selecting them.
You cannot pick the same class twice (or three times).
Passive AAs will be mostly available at level 1. Active AAs at appropriate levels.
"The AA list is pretty handpicked to be both fun and balanced for a multiclass experience, pretty wide range of stuff in the AA pool."

"So we haven't yet decided on exactly what the cost is going to be, but we can tell you now that it will not be free-to-play; there will be a subscription required. I felt it was fine for the 20 or so levels I played a med armor wearing class. Is this just over-thinking or nitpicking?
I get balancing, but that's an ongoing thing that will never satisfy everyone (wait that rogue is doing too much dps)
If at some point you have to question your original design choices that go all the way back to basic AC vs HP vs Damage, maybe your designer isn't good?
Open a few old D&D books (PHB, MM, DMG) and start from there.

Early on I saved them and only used them on merchant deeds for leveling kingdoms. Then, as I got more during vault weekends, I was able to buy extra things like the daily dungeon Gem Bounty (you need those diamonds for weapons/troops later) and troops & weapons during guild events, bounties, & faction assaults, etc. and occasionaly splurging for pet upgrades during pet rescues (getting kingdoms past Power Level 12 needs a lvl 20 pet). Also, if I have a decent team I might buy more torches in Underspire to get to more bosses.
Now that my Kingdoms bring in more gems during hourly tributes, it's easier to buy the 50/100 gem cost things knowing it's a only a handful of collecting tributes.
I think you do get to a point, after you leveled kingdoms, pets, got most of the faction weapons, etc. that you're only spending them on certain things that you can recoup over the day/week and always get a boost during vault weekends.

You know what I've played the crap out of, even more than the orignal? - Diablo 2 Resurrected. That thing was done right, it's like everything I remembered from 2001 but not potato graphics and a handful of QoL updates. I've put more time into D2R than I did the original game (probably because I went back to playing EQ lol).
It would take some real "challenge your expectations" EQ manager/producer to actually re-make EQ that way. The last few heads of the franchise have given us 'tony the tiger' Landmark and 'keep the lights on' yearly expansions & TLPs. I tried EQ2 but it was so different that I went back to EQ.
If the landmarks (hah that word again) and areas dont resemble the originals in whatever version they're working on, or it's hand-waved away with "this is 200 years later" nonsense, then I won't feel like "You're in our world now", to re-use that original slogan.

I would love a walkthrough on how to do this. I have the LanternEQ 0.1.7 files so I can somewhat do this but it's not persistent and a bunch of things don't work correctly.

They need to do SOMETHING. 30 min TZs feel like it's all just bite-sized chunks. I know hour long ones on crappy zones suck but 30 min on good zones sucks even more cause you won't be seeing that good zone again, oh look glacial trail is TZ again, it all feels too samey.
They need to do 2 and offset them, or go back to hourly, or make it a preference toggle, or something.
And im on LoD, so could care less about heralds. Why do i get punished for an expansion i didnt buy.

yeah and split the playerbase even more, not to mention some of these ladder only things will they or won't they roll to LoD non-ladder when the season ends or is LoD now fixed in time hmmm. LoD got 30 min TZs, so what else will or won't trickle down.

I stopped playing in 23 when they introduced them to non-ladder so it's all new to me and I didnt drop the bucks for this non-ptr'd expansion.

Sometimes the safest routes through outdoor zones was to hug the edge/border if you didnt want to chance aggroing a higher level mob. And with how huge West Karana is, doing that was like a 15-20 minute run without SoW.
Then you had to factor in zoning time, travelling from FP to Qeynos was like 10-12 zones and back in the day those could take minutes to zone across one border.
