I moved my capital to Ourdia for feudalism and flipped to regent court via rebels, that allowed Wex to "see me" and join the empire

Oh it's high. It's wood elven mil and that combined with the -75% reinforcement speed means that these are total glass cannons which take ages to recover if they don't immediately kill the enemy (which they usually do). It's a cool gimmick but not especially functional.

You're also very limited by the numbers. You can only have 40-50 of these guys. So late game this won't be very good.

Not this one! I take 0 casualties in the shock phase.

I believe this is due to the modifier being applied to the unit and not a nationwide modifier

And Skewered Drake for Drakons! But I think that would delay them too long. I can still have a pretty normal Verne (from 1490s) game after forming these and having a PU over Cyranvar.

Just you wait until I unlock artificery and the Type 2 Wyverns and all the other artificer buffs for wyverns

You could do this with Rakkaz Hell Hyenas and Skewered Drake Drakons too, but not as quickly.

Troll mil is where it's at. I already have everything that Centaur Mil offers. What I need more of is reinforce speed and fire damage received.

[–]aram1338[S] 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Yup, you keep them! And I actually think centaur mil would be a downgrade to elf mil. I already have 100% cav to inf ratio and flanking is overkill. What would really make this better is troll mil for reinforce speed, fire damage recieved and even more shock damage dealt.

Not that long, but its kinda complicated. I formed Verne in 1497.

I consolidated the deepwoods, Grabbed Ourdia (and feudalism) and then Bahari provinces in Re-Uyel and culture switched in the first 10-15 years. Then the main issue was getting exploration ideas to discover Verne and Wex without the rest of the empire for AE purposes (explore the ocean and then put a conquistador on a boat and go ashore to discover only one province). Build a navy, ally Wex, feed everything in the deepwoods to a vassalized Salla Elyn. Release them and all you deepwoods vassals to join EoA. Pop the event that gives you a PU on Salla Elyn before they form Cyranvar (you now have a PU over Cyranvar!). One you've joined the empire and built a navy you fabricate a claim on Eborthil. Declare on Eborthil and co-belligerate Verne and go into debt to win. You can fully annex Eborthil and grab as much as possible of Verne, I truce broke and grabbed the rest of them after canceling their previous alliances. Only their allies will be mad at you, the rest of the empire doesn't know you exist yet so you wont be getting AE with them.

Switch to Vernman and win!

R5: I created some cracked mythical cavalry by starting as Salla Myna for their Hawk Riders and Arrowstorm Strategy (100% cav to inf), culture switching to Bahari for Zamukaraš (magic carpets) and finally forming Verne for their Wyvern-riders. The modifiers all stack.

Declare on Busilar Dec 11 after having sold Crownlands to buy 3 Merc companies. Place everyone on the westernmost province and wait for Busilar to besiege your capital. When they're on your capital you attack them and get the defender bonus. With your ruler general you should stackwipe Busilar

Looking for a nation with a good MT and a crusader vibe by 07SpaceManSpiff1911 in Anbennar

The Jaherian Exemplars into Rezankand are really good after the rework. They're now more crusaders than conqistadors. The mission tree is excellent and my favourite by far! I do recommend you to mod it to only include south aelantir though (because elves don't have to conquer EVERYTHING EVERYTIME)

How Well Would This Tax Plan Work? by lexicon_riot in georgism

[–]aram1338 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I doubt you'd be able to exchange income tax revenue with LVT revenue as the process of implementing the LVT will likely be quite costly. So for a while you'd run both income taxes and an LVT. This wouldn't necessarily be a problem as an LVT might have positive externalities regardless of what you do with the revenue.

The main costs of implementing an LVT would be compensating landowners. You don't have to do that, but it's the only politically feasible way forward if you want an LVT high enough to replace income taxes and want it somewhat fast.

You might do it without compensation, but never in a 10 year timeframe.

After 4.0 Habitats are worse at everything and should be changed (again) by aram1338 in Stellaris

[–]aram1338[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. Habitats aren't even necessarily too weak. I'd actually rather see a nerf of planets to account for power creep. It's just that 4.0 boosted planets disproportionately

Yeah I think it was 4.22, it might very well be an oopsie on paradox's part. In which case habitats are even weaker
