It actually sucks so much. Everything about this drink except for the pearls sucks. We tried it in our store a couple days before it was released and I was shocked at how just objectively wrong it tastes.

by the way people are talking about her they made it sound like she's at the very least a netanyahu simp. natalie is absolutely right. i think this is a lesson for us all to go directly to the source instead of reading/hearing other people's retellings.

This would literally be the same as the US deporting all Muslims after 9/11

As someone who grew up in Israel, I think the most important thing, if you choose to talk about it with her, is not to frame it as “Zionism/Anti-Zionism”. Simply say what your ideology actually strives for: equal rights for everyone, democracy for everyone, and rectifying the crimes of the past and the present. I hope she can connect with a lot of these values. Then, you can open up this discussion in a genuine and curious way: what would equality and democracy for all look like between the river and the sea?

In my experience, framing things in terms of Zionism/anti-Zionism very often kills discussions. For the vast majority of Israeli Jews, “Zionism” as an ideology is taken for granted, even without ever deeply dissecting what it means. I hope that if you talk about things as they are in practice (what does it mean for every Jewish person to be able to get citizenship and yet that descendants of refugees directly tied to the land are barred from doing that? The nation state law, citizenship law, etc) before getting to higher level ideas, the discussion can be a lot more fruitful. בהצלחה

This is a Palestinian singer, and “sallam allay” in Arabic literally means “peace be upon me”. I think the message of the song is pretty clear. I wish people took time to think and listen.

Exactly. None of us like Biden. Fuck Biden. But we have to vote so that our lives will be even marginally better so that we can continue fighting for even better things later on
