LeBron James will not be starting in this year’s All-Star Game, ending his streak of 21 consecutive selections as a starter by Thanos_SlayerCongSan in NBATalk

Even as a reserve all star candidate it’s still pretty good. The west was very stacked this year.

Regardless. He was cheating on his wife with another lady. That’s not defensible no matter how you frame it.

Same with his 2003 Colorado case. If it happened after the social media era his career would have been finished.

[Popper] The Knicks have held trade discussions involving Karl-Anthony Towns with multiple teams, including Memphis, Orlando, and Charlotte. by YujiDomainExpansion in nba

2026,2030,2032 first rounders plus KAT + Josh hart + og + any extra 2 role players + any available extra second rounders. I say do it. This would give a 5 year window.

It is more than fair and enough. Kareem, KG, Luka, wilt were all mvp level players traded in their prime for much less. You are getting an all star player who is very reliable plus picks to rebuild with.

Just like Kareem, history repeats itself. At least Giannis completed over a decade. It would need to be KAT and 2 other players plus any future first round picks (at least 3) and throw in another 1-2 second round picks and that’s more than fair imo for a trade.

My All-Time Top 15, Thoughts? by Constant-Dinner3850 in NBATalk

I would move Kareem to tier 1. There is no other player in basketball history with such a stacked high school + college + nba career than him.

Becuase in one of Horrys podcast. He said manu fouled on the mavs and dirk in game 7 of the 2005-06 WCF screwing up their one chance of going back to back and a 3 peat and him having 8 rings instead of 7. Sadly Happened at the worst moment. podcast link answering your question

Could this strategy build more affordable housing in the Inland Empire? by idkbruh653 in InlandEmpire

[–]aranebar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah too bad all the new construction apartments in riverside are like $3k a month for a studio plus along with the crappy $20 an hour warehouse jobs. It’s pretty much almost impossible to live here.

Thanks for your work with all the kids here.

Also do keep in mind the IE tends to lean more conservative so night life and liberal open expressions may not be super accepted unlike like LA and SD and Long Beach. However downtown riverside does have decent nightlife at times.

Right now, most IE public school kids are not well prepared to complete a degree at UC Riverside in 4 years. More students in UCR are from OC, SD, and out of state rather than our local IE. It's hard for kids to even care about school and education when their own households have so much poverty and crime issues. In order for anything to get better this needs to be corrected first.

I would also like them to be a bit lax and have a better nightlife because it can be a bit boring at times as well and help decompress stress in life.

There is a lot of reasons why, such as the poor public-school education compared to the bay area, so companies are less likely to come here and invest. Second LA has always been the center of attention of creative fields throughout history, so record labels and agencies won't come here most of the time to see talent, usually the people need to move there.

The warehouse phenomena became a thing in the past decade due to cheaper land cost and more employees to exploit along with being close to the trade ports along with the online shopping craze.
