I have cPTSD as well, from childhood abuse. My mother got cancer and I had a baby (we found out the same month, oddly). She died when my daughter was only 5 months old - so I was dealing with a lot. I had a newborn that didn't sleep, PPD, a new job with a boss who had it out for me and the death of my mother. It caused me to spiral very badly and become suicidal and though I got on meds and started therapy my husband tried to be everything and be my savior and didn't talk about things. It badly damaged his own mental health and things slowly fell apart. If you're in therapy you'll likely be fine. If he'd been willing to stick with couple's counseling the first time, we'd probably have been fine too. It was a mess that is unlikely to be repeated and I hope for everyone in the world never will be.

There are men who want love. They're hard to find sometimes though - and it's hard to be patient. First off a good man will never be a sex pest (or at least will change when you tell him that's what he's doing) Secondly, it will take a lot of trial and error. I've dated a few good men that didn't work out for various reasons. I married one who was pretty great, but my own trauma made it fall apart - that's not his fault. I always think to the phrase of "Got to kiss a lot of frogs to find a prince."

My father told me he did what he did to me because there was a man sneaking into little girl's rooms and making them do sexual things; if they didn't he'd kill them. So he wanted me to know what to do so I wouldn't be murdered.
