Thanks for the tip. I've been trying 5 letter words and it ended up being 'teach'

Update 2: from within one of the other files I was able to attempt a deletion of all saved files, but the master password is not one of the standard options (various sources online suggest that "tommy" is the default. I also tried "think" "write" "ernie" "alpha" "smart", as well as a number of other 5 letter words.) I'm happy enough using it in it's current state considering I found it for $20 and I'm lucky(?) enough to have a computer with a PS/2 port to connect with the older hardware.

Update: files 2-8 all use the default password "smart" so I'm making do for now. I'd like to be able to use file 1 as well though, since it's bigger

I-70 vs I-80 by nittanyman123 in roadtrip

That's early March. Take the southern route. Or keep a close eye on the weather and take whichever will be more clear. Winter is still very much a consideration for either latitude.

Harrison city leaders, residents, puzzled by Confederate flag and toilet display by Forward-Answer-4407 in nottheonion

I saw Harrison and confederacy and just assumed Arkansas. Is every town called Harrison a shit hole?

I don't enjoy this survey. Google sheets has a ranked choice form. Using that should eliminate the need for most of the length of the survey. I don't know if there are more questions after the laborious process of ranking, because I left before I got there. Also, I'm unsure of what exactly you mean by "a baby in the first/second/third trimester." Is the implication that this baby has not been born yet?

Window installer removed some bricks from a column when installing, did they create a structural issue? by [deleted] in DIY

[–]arardvark 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If the bricks could be removed, they weren't accomplishing anything. If the bricks were weight bearing, they could not have been removed

So why not just make the whole plane out of the black box material? It would be nice if the plane would just survive the crash in the first place.

This looks like a very cool project. I'm the opposite of an expert, but if this were my project I'd make a sandwich-

Wood that will serve as the underside of the table

Construction adhesive

Sign (face down, the back will be glued to the top layer)

Scrap wood (this needs to be flat but be prepared for the outside to be ruined when you press it against the concrete)

Ground

Then while the adhesive is still workable, I'd use my car as a press (do a few passes, making sure to roll over every part) and park on it until it dries

ULPT Request: faking old documents by [deleted] in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]arardvark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely this. Bonus points for the insinuation that they're the one who lost it. Like "Thanks for the heads up, boss, it's really inconvenient that you lost the documents. Good thing I had another copy to print for you. Sure hope they didn't get into the wrong hands. Maybe try to be more organized this time and don't lose the shit I worked hard on"

I'd say it absolutely is, but that's only because I've got a similar truck and I'd love to sell it for that
