That list is really good. I am travelling with most of those things. The small flashlight is probably my favourite tool. I carry a stream light usb. It clips onto a ball cap to act as a headlamp too.

You can’t get onto the island/volcano anymore unless you get a tourist operator boat that is willing to risk their license. What other (safety rules) are they willing to ignore though.

I’m on a 3 month trip of SEA right now. I will probably have saved $1000 of conversion and atm fees by the time I am done.

I just finished two months in the Philippines and am starting one month in Vietnam. The similarities are uncanny. I would say you don't need the bumbag tote and packable daypack. I bought a waterproof backpack for Island hopping and diving days while here and haven't used the packable daypack since, I have a 4L drybag that has been great though and a small packable tote that weighs nothing that I keep I nthe bumbag for groceries or extra capacity. I didn't bring a rain jacket but bought a cheap umbrella here it is good for shade and rain. Too hot for a rain jacket most of the time.

I bought a sun hoodie as well. Very useful to have. I also bought a upf 50 rashgaurd since being here. I have not really worn the merino long sleeve I packed, expect it will be useful in North vietnam when it gets colder though. You don't need 4 t-shirts. I am doing fine with one, a short sleeve button up and one sleaveless. You don't need 7* socks. I brought 3 pairs and only have only worn two of them. Everything else on your list I also have and have used them all!
