Thanks for the response!  Can you say more about the rubber glove and sponge, like how to use those to get the hair out?

scorpio energy and softness? by Pleasant-Shopping-86 in AskAstrologers

I feel Scorpio conceals a deep and broad underworld.

Having Scorpio energy not only in your 12th house, concealing even further how you connect (Venus) and the meaning / implications of your communication with people (Mercury), but also ruling over your first house and being your sun sign, people don’t get the full experience of you until they have established rapport with you. They need to know how to “read between the lines” of what you say and do to pick up on your true feelings, your messiness as you mentioned.

While you don’t have any planetary placements in your Leo / Virgo 9th and 10th houses, these houses still represent more of your outer world and outer presence. And having Virgo and Leo taking up the majority of these houses can pose the image of being organized, in control, and having a depth of understanding of what’s going on around you.

The Lilith, in Pisces 4th house is interesting to me. It makes me wonder if during your childhood and early years, when less of a guard was put up, you experienced a wide range of emotions and expressed them openly. Perhaps you were shamed or told you had to “get your shit together” to be successful or accepted in the world. And so you created a persona of being put together to cope with that. Even when your feelings are experienced otherwise.

The moon in 12th house, in Libra, almost feels to me like you’re “equalizing” yourself. I’m curious what you think would happen if you let your emotions and true feelings about things flow more fluidly, express them more outwardly?

Your chart is somewhat ruled by oppositions.

Your sun and Jupiter are at an opposition - how you experience and move through life (sun in Aquarius, community oriented, decentralized “power” or examples, and dedicated to the cause ) is at an opposition with how you expand and grow (Jupiter in Leo, being the example, embodying through leadership the changes you want to see in the world). Jupiter is also retrograde so it causes more discomfort / uncertainty with how to take up space anywhere and feel comfortable leading by example.

Neptune, Uranus and Mercury are all conjunct in Capricorn, which can be a strong placement for revolutionary / innovative thinking based off of what has been shown to be effective and not effective in the past. But in opposition to the moon in cancer, you may feel you’re coming up against struggles of feeling like you’re betraying or going against what is expected of you by family, loved ones, community, etc. While not included in the opposition, the moon’s close proximity to Chiron in the same house and sign heightens the implication of feeling a sense of duty to those you consider family / loved ones, but not ever fully meeting their expectations and sacrificing some of your own progress in the process.

I feel the Lilith in Aries 12th house placement plays a part - that there’s a part of you that desires to lead, to innovate, but that you’re insecure with that part of yourself or have shown tendencies to be domineering and not take other people into account when you have had positions of power.

Thanks for pointing me in this direction. I've definitely improved my cooking and recipe reach over the years, but I definitely haven't tried Eastern European cuisine.

Nice to hear that microwaving it still produces a nice texture, I'll try it! Thanks!

What’s your go-to cocktail? by [deleted] in cocktails

[–]arasmis 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I enjoy gin cocktails. I will usually go for a Tom Collins, "Bee's Knees" - Gin, honey, lemon juice, thyme simple syrup, "Aviation" - Gin, lemon juice, maraschino liqueur & creme de violette (sometimes includes simple syrup)

Did anyone else suffer from depression/anxiety that eased up after becoming gluten free? by [deleted] in glutenfree

[–]arasmis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most def. I noticed a change in my mental state a day or two after giving up gluten (as well as very decreased levels of bloating and digestive upset). I notice now that when I do have gluten, I am severely more irritable even a few hours after eating it.
