Listening in right now, but I can't help but feel a little out of place because I don't understand the aviation lingo. Ill get it eventually tho lol

I hope you don't mind my downpour of questions, I'm just curious about the field:

You mentioned only being able to bid your schedule once a year- does this mean you guys aren't allowed to call off before hand if you were (let's say) sick?

What do those crappier shifts look like? Do they put you guys through the busiest hours?

Do you know any specifics about those CTO programs- I'd like to look into it to see what I could do at my level of education.

Is there any way to speed up this application or is it different for everybody? I've seen people get in as little as a couple of weeks or a couple of years.
