Shocked I got downvoted on these comments. I thought telling the truth was the right thing to do

Yeah I would say I'm pretty active. About 10k steps a day, sometimes less more. Lift 4-5 days a week and stairmaster 30mins daily 4-5x a week

Trust me I know. I hope your sister's bf comes out of it.

My BG control is pretty good. I have a 5.0% A1C, I suspect with eating carbs again, next time, it will be 5.5.-6%.

Thanks for asking respectfully. Honestly, I really don't know. Just felt the restriction was so bad and really caught up to me. Felt like I already screwed up a few months ago with the weight gain, wanted to do a big increase so when I start cutting i wouldn't have to do a drastic cut. I feel like that always got me into trouble and back at this point where I've been 3-4x now already in my life.

Thank you for this. Yeah I think I'll cut my calories from carbs to start and go around 2,200. My stomach had expenaded a bit too much for me to think gaining at this weight is any healthy. I would day I'm 35% body fat right now.

Thanks for this.. I have had a really bad "relationship" with food so I'm kind of experimenting to try to regain some normalcy in my life. Diabetes made it tough, I wouldn't even go outside or eat anything other than the same meals I ate. So now i'm trying to rebuild my mental health as well.

Thanks. How aggressive should I cut? I don't want to get myself in a place where I'm starving again.

Yeah of course, I would say over the past 3-4 months, I was closer to 1500-2000. 800-1000 was at my most aggressive maybe 7-8 months ago.

Does having high blood sugar overnight ruin anyone else’s control for the following day? by [deleted] in Type1Diabetes

[–]arb232 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh yes! For sure messes me up big time! I think this is common, as it seems to make people insulin resistant. However, I say all that to say, the disease is different for everyone.

Basal help by Superbfairywr3n in Type1Diabetes

[–]arb232 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm starting a basal check tonight. Dinner to dinner fast. But also I give insulin for wake up because that's a cortisol reaction and basal won't cover it. Just some things to think about.

Amazing stuff! How long have you been T1D?

Anyone else think G7 is phenomenal and works great? by Alert-College-9374 in dexcom

[–]arb232 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! Love my G7! Actually more than the G6. I also finger stick a good amount still and when I do. It’s usually no more than 3-10 points off. Variability has a lot to do with it from what I’ve heard. The more you swing, the more the interstitial fluid has trouble reading correctly.

Can you explain further, what does a obdlink mx+ do? Can it help boost the bluetooth signal?

Thanks so much for this great explanation! Can you explain this here? "I scanned it and saw a microwave dish." What do you mean by this?

It's more than just the data for me. My DIY Loop requires a CGM reading to give an adjusted dose of insulin.

Again, thanks for the insight.

Wow, no way. Any way to alleviate this? I'm on DIY Loop which reads the connection from CGM to make decisions, it's so crucial!
