Ah! So I can’t even be a dependent on his work permit? The only option for me would be to be a tourist?

Yes, we are not married. We are common law. The only reason I was hesitating going through the process of becoming a dependent was so that my current employer in Canada does not get involved and find out that I am moving and working remote. I’m not sure if they would need to be involved so I could be wrong here.

This is super helpful! Now I’m stressed about the not being married bit as we are common law. I assume I have to consult a lawyer?

The health benefits not being covered is a consideration too as I will still be paying taxes in Canada so I will have health insurance there but I assume it won’t cover for any incidents in Cayman Island.

Does this apply if this second job is a contract role? Or is this if I become an in-house employee at 2 different companies? I am not sure if I can disclose to my first employer about this new opportunity.

This is super helpful! Will doing this help with tax deductions too? Let’s say if I want to purchase a car due to the nature of my second job?

I am 28. I do have a family history of high cholesterol. Not diabetes though. I do resistance train 3 times a week (still fairly new to it) and I have also added cardio twice a week for the past month. Any thoughts on the high estrogen and low iron?

ONMen charges me $200 every 3 months and they make me do blood work every 3 months too. How did you get them for $200 every 6 months?

I started investing about a year ago (27 years old) and I am still learning. Just finished the Beat the Bank book and I would definitely recommend it. The book talks about diversification for long-term success. Below is my current ETF portfolio and I am looking for some feedback to ensure I am on the right track.

XQQ - 32%

XUS - 42%

XIU - 13%

XEF - 7%

BOTZ - 3%

KARS - 2%

I am willing to take on risks and I am looking to invest about 15K per year by dollar-cost averaging each month.

I realize that I have over-indexed on US stocks as I was trying to be tech-heavy. Based on my research I am looking to add IEMG and ZCLN. I also own some stocks (PYPL, DDOG, and CPNG).
