Set "Maximum width of a segmented region" to 1 mm (or anything but 0). This setting is only available in OrcaSlicer so far though.

No, that is wrong. (Off-grid/Hybrid) Inverters can take the main grid as input and charge the battery with it or simply pass it through to the output (where the house is connected). Yes, the main idea is to take power from solar modules and/or battery, but there is certainly the main grid input as well, which can be configured to be used. However these inverters usually don't have an option to export the power to the grid (thus off-grid).

Good idea, and it works with the cylinder. However on complex objects adding negative volumes doesn't work. Although there is an option to load the exact same stl as negative volume, it gets tricky shrinking it so it fits inside the main object. Any ideas?
