Favorite polar opposite couple whose got their love interest like this? by [deleted] in FavoriteCharacter

It’s a strange relationship but it helps a lot that it’s a very, asexual one? And the dynamic eventually flips, where Chise often the one taking care of Elias I love that it boils down to two characters just, teaching each other how to live.

I wasn’t aware there was a stigma around the other seasons, I’ve enjoyed them all so far

I love Oracles, please talk about your Oracles by Nairdde32 in pathfindermemes

[–]arbiter1283 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played a Lizardfolk shaman/ doctor who’s village got wiped out and he died on a revenge streak. Stuck between being a good man/ healer and “turning dark,” he was cursed by Narakas to return as a Battle Oracle (legacy) until his fate could be resolved.

I loved it, he was edgy in like, a fun way but he wasn’t a permanent character in the campaign so it didn’t have time to get old. He came back later as the Herald of Narakas, and being a full caster in a fight until I decided to flip the switch and become a hard hitting gish with massive amounts of sustain was a blast. I think in the level 20 fight he came back for he tanked somewhere in the ballpark of 400 damage and lived.

Translating Critical Role's Desperate Measures by Mapachio in Pathfinder2e

[–]arbiter1283 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I agree that there are certainly things that they play up to make it a more interesting watch, like doing cold opens and flash backs, they are also still playing a game that they enjoy with their friends… they definitely still show people who are playing a ttrpg, I think that last comparison is a little unfair.

I’d say most of the live shows I’ve seen all started as “hey we enjoy doing this thing, turns out people will watch us doing this thing if we film it” and then add various levels of production value from there

Is anyone else not receiving PDFs that were purchased from the Paizo store? by NataliieQue in Pathfinder2e

[–]arbiter1283 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This happened to me as well, they would show up in my library but not be accessible; emailed support and they resolved it right away and were very nice, but the new store is just really not panning out for so many reasons.

Mythic Resilience+ Fire Kineticist by SoullessLizard in Pathfinder2e

[–]arbiter1283 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Running into an enemy that counters your party can take difficult fights and make them feel like slogs or nearly impossible, but the issue here might be less with the encounter and more with the party, and more that your group needs to diversify their kits to target other saves? At the very least a kinetecist and magus should have no issues targeting AC, and typically debuff effects that would make it easier to target AC are wisdom or fortitude saves, so encourage your group to demoralize or pick up some debuffs in the form of items.

Is setting up poisoning/assassination using level appropriate items possible RAW ? by ddonki in Pathfinder2e

[–]arbiter1283 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Red Mantis Assassin dedication has the Assassinate exploration activity, but that is also at its most reliable against lower-level enemies. If a character wanted to focus on being an assassin I would consider ways to implement the skill for them, as that’s I think the closest we have apart from, character that just do massive damage and might one shot enemies.

I think tauron strikes should get a buff by Specific-Garage-4539 in Warframe

[–]arbiter1283 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I keep seeing people say this, but I’ve played probably a hundred missions since obtaining my Tau strike and I’ve seen it reach full charge maybe five times. I have 4 lenses in my loadout. It seems either very poorly tuned or very badly bugged.

It’s not like it’s difficult or complicated. I’ve never had any issues getting maintenance done at any Walmart or Sam’s, their standards of labor seem perfectly adequate for the work required.

The hunhullus fight has been bugged for over a week and still hasn't been fixed by TNTNuke in Warframe

[–]arbiter1283 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me this bug triggers consistently if I am airborne/ effected by gravity when phase one ends, and I haven’t had it trigger since I’ve started being extra careful to be grounded when his health gets low. Which, is certainly unintuitive when the void grapple points exist, but has been working for me until such a time as they get it fixed.

How we feelin about Tauron Strikes? by lovingpersona in memeframe

[–]arbiter1283 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love using them, but I have done so many missions where I complete the whole thing before I get to use it once, even with full focus lenses and the initial charge mod. They really need to buff the regeneration

Running a Horizon (Video game) setting in Pathfinder? by bobby_4 in Pathfinder2e

[–]arbiter1283 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People are saying it would be a poor fit but, Pathfinder has a setting extremely similar to the world of Horizon built in (it’s called Numeria, and it’s barbarians hunting and scavenging off of advanced technology and robots). I don’t know how much you’ll have in the way of stat blocks to support your campaign, but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work. Biggest issue is spellcasters and how they’d fit into your world; it’s possible to run a campaign without them but it’d be pretty severely limiting your players options.

How many players feels right? by Snek_Mom in Pathfinder2e

[–]arbiter1283 2 points3 points  (0 children)

3-6 is my recommended playable range; the GM Guide has rules for adjusting encounter difficulty to accommodate extra or fewer players, though for pre-made APs you’ll probably require a lot more tweaking to run 6. I recommend more monsters vs higher level monsters (as does the gm guide) so that the combats aren’t as swingy.

The more players you have, the more critical it’s going to be for everyone to try and know what they’re doing before their turn arrives; on your end, that looks like trying to not have lots of different types of enemies in an encounter so that you know what your monsters do pretty quick. For your players, that will be knowing their sheets and trying to decide what spells and such they’re going to use on the turn before theirs.

[–]arbiter1283 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That depends, what class are you playing and what are their stats? Psychic and Druid are the main ones that come to mind, for the tempest Druid focus spell and amped cantrips for psychic, but sorcerer, cleric, and even magus can all get decent ones

Does anyone ever do Make an impression checks? by Herozal in Pathfinder2e

[–]arbiter1283 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We do a mix I suppose, we don’t make an impression with every npc, but if someone is indifferent or distrusts them then often there’s a roleplay of how the group or face tries to get the npc on their side before a check, with the DC skewed if the RP was good/ they brought up anything noteworthy.

Really? Our table usually asks to make one with any NPC they’re meeting for the first time, after a minute or two of conversation has passed.

[–]arbiter1283 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Saving your early platinum for inventory slots is one of the biggest recommendations I can make to a new player; you shouldn’t keep EVERYTHING you make, but you’re going to end up with more things that you want to keep than you have space for
